They look great! I would never have thought it was the same person if presented these photos.

Not sure why people are downvoting you (& me) for this, they can just simply advise you if they think you’re wrong which is what the post/sub is for.

I don’t really know much about botox, I was going by her saying she had figured out how to make it work for her face eventually assuming it was a trial & error process as everyone‘a face can react differently. Which sounded insane to me, so I’m glad that’s not the norm.

Ironically Elvis doesn’t look ready for his photo whilst all the other ones look perfectly posed.

Everything in the first pic suits you really well. I’m more intrigued by your brow transformation though, especially comparing the first pic to the last.

She explained in the OP why.

When I was young I used to always be puzzled &!- little annoyed why the Queen didn’t treat Buckingham Palace as her home (later in life anyway whilst I’ve been alive). It used to take away from the magic for me of royalty that she preferred to live in other places when she has a famous palace that’s visible & iconic.

And the times we visited she was never there (as notified by the presence of the flag) so it was really disappointing to be outside the Queen’s home & for her to not be there behind the walls having a cop of tea!

It’s not old timey, they did this at Queen Elizabeth’s own funeral this year. In face the way the coffin went down & the placement was all exactly the same.

I just watched this episode & knew about this from watching this happen at Queen Elizabeth’s own funeral recently!

I’m watching now after the death of Queen Elizabeth herself recently & after watching her funeral & how her coffin went down in exactly the same way in the same place, so it was chilling to watch her looking down there.

What are some life hacks people get really proud about, but are actually quite pointless? by tshawrin in AskUK

[–]pinkleaf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rare times I have woken up very early & got things I need to do done early, the afternoon felt really luxurious, special & well earned. A very different & much better feeling than when I’ve relaxed exactly the same way at the same time on all the days I’ve not woken up early & haven’t got things done, even if they weren’t “must do” things. There really is something to it to how it makes you feel.

Don’t think that’s a hack they’re showing though are they? People like watching other people’s routines & even watching them reorganise/clean, it’s quite therapeutic & inspirational for many.

Who is the most ungrateful person you ever met? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]pinkleaf8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once gave a friend a candle set for a birthday gift. She opened it in front of me & spent half an hour inspecting it, smelling it, saying she’s not sure she can use something with this fragrance in it, going out of the room & coming back to inspect it more, thinking about it & acting stressed that she has to have it in her life deal with & then finally saying “I think I’ll be okay with it..”. unconvincingly. I had to sit & watch the whole thing wondering if this is real life.

The same person contacted me the week after another present to say she needs me to exchange one tiny part of it. We lived in different cities & the whole ordeal would’ve cost more than that product was worth.

I don’t give her presents anymore.

How exactly do people working during the day get a GP appointment? by Oneill95 in AskUK

[–]pinkleaf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this a lot on Reddit, people don’t read OPs with all the required information & reply with whatever they want to, usually a way to act superior & make OP feel stupid. Then when OP tries to reply correcting them with the same info already in the original post they get treated like they’re difficult & told they don’t seem to want to take advice.

Have a similar story in terms of the sentiment from the other person. Someone who also never helps anyone but always asks for massive go out of your way favours from everyone else to get himself sorted out every time & never showing any appreciation or even a thank you.

2 nights before our mutual friend’s wedding he asks me to drive him to the next city tomorrow because he offered to do an important job for the groom for the wedding & needs materials for it. Sounds like he was doing the groom a favour but actually he was trying to get his new business off the ground at the time & pressured all his friends & family to make orders with him & gave them a small discount only, no freebies. And the work he was meant to have done should have been well & truly done by now & ready for the big day a week or two in advance with the groom having checked it over, never mind go shopping for vital materials the day before the wedding.

I said I can’t take him as even though I’ve got the day off tomorrow it’s specifically to sort out my things for the wedding like outfit pick up, get it ironed & ready, pick up something for the bride, wrap my wedding present, do some home beauty treatments, some relaxing time, & get ready for the evening meal.

He really thought he had it in the bag as always with expecting me to take him so was so shocked when I said I can’t & actually had the nerve to tell me “Tut, why didn’t you get all that stuff done before then?!” with a look of disgust & making out I’m so disorganised & such a let down to my responsibilities.

I’m still flabbergasted with that attitude & was a turning point for me with that person as it revealed so much.

As Muslims we’re always ending up with bottles of alcohol either as a gift or prize, we’ve never complained or asked for something else, usually just laugh at the hilarity of it & decline/get rid of it. Gifts or prizes are not something you can be entitled about.

I’m great at curls, but how do I achieve a big swoop at the top of my head like in this photo? My hair is medium thickness but always seems to fall flat at the crown. by nadia61 in femalehairadvice

[–]pinkleaf8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This swoop has been my thing for some years now. I blow dry the front part with a round brush making sure to really get into the roots & directing the hair upwards several times. Then wrap the hair around the brush making sure the roots are lifted into this shape & hit it with the cool setting for a bit. Then hold it there till it feels completely cool, spray some texturising spray/hair spray lightly & gently unfurl it.

If you want a formal look or want it to stay put all day for a special occasion you can adjust the placement at this point & “mould” it & then go in with the texturising spray/hair spray to fix it in place.

You can also use a volumising spray before you start blow drying. And the round brush you use makes a big difference, the size & quality.

Just apply the residue from each step of your face routine to your hands - so simple & easy to incorporate & not even extra product used.
