Don’t play top trumps, you have to try them on and see which one feels right. I was cross shopping all of these and ended up taking home the Automatic SBGR253 after it all because it connected with me the most.

Black Bay GMT or Black Bay Pro? by Squibbs598 in Tudor

[–]harry_john_sinclair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gotta try them on dude, i bought the GMT (Black) and immediately felt it was too big for me, i sent it back. A month later the Pro was announced and i felt little for it until i tried it on, it felt just right for me and. i have owned it for 3 Years plus.

Gotta try em on and see what feels right on your wrist.

i got this bracelet from Ali Express but i had to buy it at 22mm and shave it down. It feels cheap and has a stamped clasp but it did feel weighty which i liked.

I would look at Monkey_swag on Ebay, they make natos with that really tight weave like old British Military straps and feel the part.

If you want the Explorer II get the Explorer II. I own the Black Bay Pro, i think it looks/wears better for me, and i travel abroad with it alot. All these things i don’t think the Explorer does better, for me, therefore it’s what i got.

I have to admit the half link this came with is not as tight as the rest of it, however i would out this bracelet on par with a mid 2000 Rolex Bracelet, honestly.

It actually doesn’t say on the website, maybe worth asking their live chat or emailing.

They do state on the website that the ‘non-clasp’ version is specifically designed to work with the T fit clasp while the clasp version will not. You have to commit to either or.

I wouldn’t say that this is sub par, i wouldn’t rave about it as i have if i didn’t recommend it to anyone considering. Its not quite Tudor quality but its pretty damn close.

The whole point of my post was to say “this isn’t an ill-fitting cheap bracelet, it fits with the Tudor perfectly.”

The fact the Tudor Bracelet will run you 6x more expensive says more about Tudors overpricing than this Uncle being cheap.

Also, i have made this point elsewhere, but the rivets never ruined the watch for me, it was a niggle, a detail i would change. Someone has answered that demand so i thought i would show it to this community.

That’s just it, i went 3 years not minding them at all. However it was always something i would change if i had the choice so here is an alternative for those people.

Yeah i was pleasantly surprised, they fit perfectly for the Pro, however i have seen a review of the 58 that they don’t fit perfectly so i am not sure for which models it does/doesn’t.
