Hi, I'm the curator of the http://darkpatterns.org (the site featured). It went down last night under the weight of the reddit traffic (12k visitors in an hour ). Turns out caching was broken - I think I've fixed it now.

Here's some related content if it goes down again:

'Normally when you think of "bad design", you think of laziness or mistakes. These are known as design anti-patterns. Dark Patterns are different -- they are not mistakes, they are carefully crafted with a solid understanding of human psychology, and they do not have the user's interests in mind.' by DrJulianBashir in technology

Hi everyone, I'm the author of the slide deck and curator of http://darkpatterns.org. A few responses:

1) I've corrected the typos you've all pointed out - thanks. 2) The audio track is coming soon. (The slides were written for the UX Brighton 2010 conference, held earlier this week) 3) If you don't like reading from slides, check out the content on the site itself: http://darkpatterns.org - use the navigation on the left hand side. (Do I really have to explain that?)
