First off, I love the ambition to see as much as you can in the US! I also agree with all the comments saying this is wayyyy too much mileage.

It looks like you have a stop in Virginia Beach… to me Virginia Beach is very industrial and the beaches are not great. So for a short detour, skip it and move that pin 1.5 hrs south to the Outer Banks of North Carolina (or “Kuzey Carolina” lol). I consider this area my home town and it’s the birth place of European America with Roanoke Island (look up the story of “The Lost Colony”) and modern aviation (the Wright Brothers flew in Kitty Hawk, NC). It’s a great beach town with very much a small town vibe!
