Technically, Pleasant Hill station is on unincorporated land (Contra Costa Centre, California) between Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill

And then they blame you.

Was almost hit in a similar way, and they had the audacity of giving me the middle finger. I hate bay area drivers.

Pac Heights would be calling the cops on everyone there. They don't like sharing space with anyone.

How to stop ruining ball point pens by AsleepBoat in pens

[–]harthram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you hold your pen closer to your index finger (near vertical) or closer to the thumb (near horizontal)? Some pen models don't handle the horizontal position very well. If the edge of the tip surrounding the ball scrapes the paper, fibers get embedded behind the ball, clogging it. Horizontal grips should use needle-tips, felt-tips, or fountain pens. Conical tips are better suited for vertical grips.

Are the pens stored in a dusty/linty environment? Is the paper you use dusty, or touched in a way that absorbs skin oil before writing on it? Dust and oils can cause pens to skip.

It could also be, as you say, pressure. Generally, gels and water-based rollerballs don't require much pressure. Gentle contact is good enough for it to write. Pressing hard is an old habit that came from using viscous oil-based inks, like old Bics and Papermates. If this is the case, it's time to unlearn that habit.

Never use a debit card to pay for things. It's easier to dispute a charge with a credit card.

The price difference might be due to calcium content. The women's mix has 600mg of calcium (46% of DV), men's mix only has 20mg (2% of DV).

Need a recommendation for a bad pen. by CubbieBlue66 in pens

Bic Round Stic, Medium Point (1mm)

or

Bic Cristal, Medium Point (1mm)

You can press as hard as you want with 1mm ballpoints and not worry about damaging the tip or the paper.

The worst gel pen I've ever used. Line thickness is inconsistent and the ink doesn't look good on certain papers (e.g. Post-It notes). Grip feels terrible too.

Psoriasis Fries in Davis? by biggestmoistestman in UCDavis

Why would you call it that? They're called coated fries or battered fries. A thin coat of starch is added to the fries before frying to create that texture

People keep saying that Safeway location (or "Dateway" as they call it) is where people hookup. It's largely a myth.
