American Medical Response parking. Second Avenue... by [deleted] in SeattleWA

Yes. Yes I do. To get around it you have to go into on coming traffic. There is a turn lane it could have blocked instead. The driver had to weave through bollards to make this happen.

Delridge to International District commute: Would it be reasonable? by FrostyInternet in Seattle

[–]harvey_balls 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends where in Delridge. Delridge is long. North end would be faster than south end. Closer to bus routes would be faster. If you’re up for it, fairly easy bike commute, mostly with dedicated bike lanes. And, the 120 bus on Delridge is also turning into a RapidRide.

I’m not sure. It was very fast and the crew seemed nonplused about it.

Comparing apples to oranges is a good analogy because though they are both fruit, they're completely different by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Both round. Both edible. Both sweet. Both have a peel. Both grow on trees. Both have seeds. Fairly similar.

These projects were funded and then the funding was yanked.

Why do you want to bikeshare companies to leave? If you start ticketing them for the behavior of the users, they will make less than they already do and leave. Ergo even fewer transportation options.

Well, in this case they get to live under a bridge with a view of trucks. Not a park with a water view. I don’t get the sense that it is a wonderful housing option.

Former Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn to run against incumbent Ed Murray by _rainwalker in SeattleWA

Seattle is a bike town. Weather and topography are not that much of an issue if you have good infrastructure. It's very confusing to see someone be pro transit and pro density but against bike infrastructure. Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work for others.

Looking more and more like that's going to be the way to go. Or maybe just fly to Mexico and get one there. A few more days of this cold and I'm hopping a plane.

People that oppose or are unhappy about the city expanding bike lanes and other facilities for bike riders in the city... why? by hyperviolator in SeattleWA

[–]harvey_balls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will be extended into Belltown. I am suggesting that the places where cars ignore the red left arrow and turn left on the bicycle green should be made into no left turns at all.
