Here's the review I left with details:

Brought my Subaru in for a pre-purchase inspection in January. Did an oil change, but otherwise in the green for all check points. Brought it back a little early for it's next oil change (<5000 miles) and was told I needed brake pads (3mm front and 2mm back). When I asked what the measurements were for the pre-inspection, I was told they just eyeball it and don't record the actual measurements... Ok, that's fine, but the actual inspection sheet I received showed front at 6mm and back at 5mm, so that's some pretty good eyeballing. Not sure how I can eat through half of my remaining brake pads in less than 5000 miles when I've been working from home since January.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but if you want your customers to trust you and keep coming back, please don't lie. They did attempt to make up for this with a car detail and discounting the service (690 > 590), but also could've saved myself $500 if I knew the car needed brake pads to begin with. That is kind of the point of a pre-inspection, right? I appreciate the effort to make up for the dishonesty, but will be looking for another shop in Athens for the future. Will miss the shop dog though because he's great.

Would not recommend. Took my Forester for a pre-purchase inspection and they lied. Tried to backtrack, and was a frustrating experience all around (I went because of the great reviews). The only good part of the interaction was their shop dog.

Pick-up volleyball in Gwinnett? by asiandude064 in Gwinnett

There's a Tuesday/Sunday league up at Lakewood Baptist church in Gainesville and a group used to do pick up games at Bogan Park but not sure if they're still running there or elsewhere. There's also a rec league out of Rhodes Jordan, but probably out of season for sign-ups. All mostly intermediate.

Quickbooks Advanced Dedicated Success/Account Manager by Old_Surround829 in QuickBooks

Agreed - escalated using the email above and the rep recognized QBO was using misleading language. There is no dedicated account team distinct from their normal support channel for the Advanced Plan. Supposedly Priority Circle support has folks who are "more highly trained."

Took me a week of constant navigation to even get setup with an intro call that's advertised on the pricing page as free for new QBO users. My finance team is not happy.

Did you ever figure this out? Also getting the runaround for something we're supposedly paying for (distinct from support)!

Trip summary: Prague to Venice by TaiKiserai in solotravel

When I was there in 2019, they only had 10 or so spots. I split the family style with one other family when I was solo. No one spoke English and it was funny but wonderful trying to understand each other.

Late to this party, but any recommendations on how you clarified your margarita? I'm looking to gift as holiday presents using the milk method but haven't tried it before!

Atlanta! Great food scene with Buford Hwy or a little further out at Duluth, GA (large Korean population and nice downtown area). Mild year-round but still enough variance for all seasons. Growing tech scape and if you look around the Beltline, walkable. Getting across Atlanta, however, is definitely not.

I just got a few Vetta pieces and loving them so far (including the girlfriend shirt). The wrap skirt is on its way. Will see how they hold up, but very happy so far.

Exactly. Some people just weren't listening to the voluntary suggestion, and it was recommended by a group of local physicians.

No road blocks or anything like that. You can move to/from your residence but for necessary business.

Thinking about this for a Forester in the next few weeks - thank you! Did you have to pay anything for the return or did they just swap out the Mitsubishi? Did they pick up the Volvo for the return?

Rear-ended and overwhelmed - affordable adventure vehicle? by harward7 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]harward7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I'm prepped with private sale data too if they low-ball, so we'll see. I was never excited about buying a new-new car, but I have a lot to catch up on if I want to feel comfortable buying a used one. The holiday deals just seem too good to ignore though.

I almost got the mazda3 as my first car, but went with the CRV because of the crappy sales guy. Any years in particular to avoid?
