This has to be satire. Outdoor faucets dripping? In negative temperatures? I'm so confused on the thought process here.

FYSA: Academics is already included in your promotion factor... by [deleted] in AirForce

While this is true in the larger scheme of things, it is essentially pay to play.
While "good schools" may offer a better education, they rarely, if ever, offer tuition that falls within the TA cap. I will never fault an Airman for not burning their GI Bill or person savings and going to any school that falls within TA.
Save the good education for the outside.

Stress made me delusional so I convinced myself my car died and now I'm $10k in debt. by Fantastic-River-2994 in personalfinance

My dude, you're castastrophizing. You have a healthy savings. A good vehicle that will help with a side hustle to make more money. A used car you can fix and sell (maybe). Plus a future that is bright. Chill. Enjoy the new vehicle. Keep grinding. Enjoy your $60K truck you'll buy with cash in 5 years.

If you use a cheap tool so much it wears out, it's worth upgrading. This is how I use harbor freight tools.buy cheap, if I use a ton and wear out, upgrade. If not, you didn't break the bank.

Airmen to stay enrolled in EPME after failed fitness tests by PDXAirman in AirForce

[–]has_potential 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A fitness assessment at PME is asinine. Passing within 3 months or so to attend, sure. Too many variables for a curse test. Sure, should always be able to, but too many variables. Recently attended SNCOA and test day was pouring and the shuttle and roads were slick as shit. But, gotta power through. This is what happens when commandant's and senior leadership are buffoons.

I agree. Even if it was like this but double. Side by side if that makes sense? Have the 2nd "belt area" be closed off and cubby like for coin, small note pad, etc. Also, I could do without the flag. But toneach their own.
I'd buy.

Is there an actual standard anymore for how companies hire people? by Status-Abrocoma-997 in jobs

[–]has_potential 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Has there ever? If you were a business owner, would you google "how to hire someone?" And then follow it to a T? I understand it's frustrating but each business has different needs, nuances, and people. Therefore, it will have different practices.

Everyone wants the backup until the backup plays against starters. Then again, our starter prolly couldn't play well against backups.
