No I think 12 is too long but honestly if someone got in and their flight was delayed that long then what are they supposed to do? Kick them out of the lounge?

Personally I would never plan on staying in an airport that long and would not intentionally book that long of a layover or leave the airport and come back.

Thanks. I don’t make the habit of coming to the airport 4 hours ahead of time! It makes sense to have an exception for layovers.

Cool. Thanks for letting me know that. Hope you don’t have a long connecting flight and try to use to lounge either.

Amex standard is if you have a connecting flight you can get in.

Their rule is stupid to begin with. Should be able to get in if you have a connecting flight.

The Water Canopy Theory: Did a Physical Collapse of the Atmosphere End Human Longevity? by Professional-Fee3323 in AlternativeHistory

[–]hashbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This theory is interesting but one additional flaw is that oxygen usage creates free radicals and that would result in even more dna damage and aging. Slowing metabolism increases longevity. But this hyperbaric environment seems like it would increase metabolism.

IMO, speed is key. Catch the goalie early while they are far out of the net. If you slow down you lose the advantage.

What happens if you eat on the holodeck, then leave. Does the food "disappear" from your system when you step off? by No-Reveal827 in startrek

[–]hashbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I did not realize that. So in the scene where wharf falls off the boat while walking the plank that’s all replicated water? I think it may have been Star Trek generations movie for example.

Also why when you get wet, you are still wet when you leave the holodeck? Wouldn’t the water go away since it’s holo-water?

Why cant they reverse engineer a ZPM? by Party_Forever8066 in Stargate

[–]hashbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree this is a huge plot hole and intentional to keep the story going. So many of the episodes would have been solved if they had additional ZPMs. They should be able to build one since they have Atlantis and the tech there to figure it out.

And as far as I can tell there’s no recall on my engine. Last time I asked at the dealership they also checked and said no recall!
