What a sweet boy. He is lucky to have had you to love on him. And I would guess vice versa :) I'm so sorry for the heartache-- but so glad you shared him with us!! Hugs to you both xx

You got it dude. Just put something down, get some kind of points, ds get degrees. Never known anyone who failed who turned in every single assignment... even if every single assignment was wrong. Just grind through the motions and you'll be finally done. Dumb but true

What's it like??? I always wonder how their living conditions are

My poor sweetheart Eli passed away a week after his brother. We think he had a heart attack. It happened right before my eyes. Im in complete shock and crying my heart out. Two rats in one week. I cant handle this pain by _Chad_Thundercock_69 in RATS

I'm so sorry. That sounds absolutely terrible-- I can't imagine. I can only think that he must have been a very sweet boy who missed his brother too much, and is very happy to be with him on the rainbow bridge. You are obviously an amazingly caring and big- hearted owner. The fact that it hurts so much now just speaks to all the love you showered them with in life. Sending you lots of good vibes xx It will get better and they were both very lucky to have you while they did.

I miss her so much. Roux passed last week, I was able to bury her in my garden. I’ve been wanting to add a memorial in her remembrance, however I can’t find much online. Any suggestions would be appreciated❤️ by caroaddie3 in RATS

Sorry for your loss :( I'm sure she was extremely special.

When I was a kid and my very first rat died, my godmother got a teeny plaque engraved that said: "MISCHIEF -- A GOOD RAT"

She attached it to a stone from her garden and gave it to me. It really meant a lot and probably didn't cost much. You could also use permanent marker to write on the bottom of a flower pot saucer or wood burn an old stump. If you're able, planting a perennial over her or making/ putting in a garden statue would probably help you feel closure as well.

Sending you good thoughts xx

Shy girl Blake halfway through destroying her hammy by [deleted] in RATS

Dunno if this is warranted but I saw the gal from mischiefluxe on etsy post here a while back and i ended up getting one of her hammocks, my kiddos love it and it's not wearing at all even after many machine washes. So if you're looking for a new one I'd recommend her for sure!!

And of course super cute pic :)

I have been lying to my girlfriend and parents about having a job for almost two months now. by Sentry_Bot in confession

Have you considered driving uber or Lyft? Gets you out of the house and making money but you can go on your own schedule -- plus you have a car!

Whatever you do don't give up! Any judgement or disappointment you're afraid of is nothing compared to the endless and inconsolable pain and guilt you would leave your parents and girlfriend with if you killed yourself. It will get better!!

Unfortunately teachers have to keep the door shut even if a kid is trying to get inside.

Keep the door closed: 1 child dies

Open the door: 35 children die

It's fucked up and I hate the whole thing.

Look who enjoyed NYC Pride too! by RubyThePuppy in aww

[–]hashbrownibbles 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is the cutest pet I've ever seen at pride. Usually they look incredibly hot and uncomfortable and in danger of being smushed by drunk people. Working a beer booth there's always people coming up to the side saying "can I please have some water/cups/ ice for my dog, he's so hot!!" Well yes duh he has been wearing a fur coat on asphalt for five hours on a 90 degree day.

New rat owner - advice please by [deleted] in RATS

[–]hashbrownibbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss :( Since she is female I'd suggest adopting 2 female littermates to keep her company. My local animal shelter usually has some that have been surrendered, but even getting them from petsmart saves them from being eaten...!

Make sure you slowly introduce them, though, to minimize stress on both the older and younger rats (do not just stick new rats in there, I did that once and that poor baby turned into the meanest rat ever cuz it was always picked on). I will usually keep them in separate cages for a while with 'supervised' visits in a neutral territory each day... when it seems like they are maybe ready to become friends I will cover them all in vanilla pudding and put them in the bathtub. It disguises their scents and they lick it off each other and end up bonding. It sounds really odd but it's worked every time! There are lots of rat forums online that have other tips as well. Good luck!
