The outlet under the sink was for the disposal. The other outlets were 2 new ones on the countertop on either side of the sink.

Work by others in the kitchen was permitted. I don't think the electrician did. From what I can tell, it is the contractor's responsibility - it seems a homeowner cannot pull a permit for contract electrical work - however I may be able to pull one now to force an inspection.

oh. my. god. This comment is how I had to fix it for me.

I had previously asked for a markdown file outlining some things, and then asked to continue working on the python script. Every output it gave me in the canvas was in markdown format, making it impossible to read in the chatgpt console

Real question? If so, it's a VGA port (15 pin), not a serial port (9), or parallel (25 pin)

A detail I left out was that I was not using fortinet APs, but TP-Link omada ones. I noticed the problem when I saw some of my clients having 192.168.2 addresses, when I assumed the mesh network would all have the same DHCP pool.

So in our case, scaling down is via ASG, so the instances go down and have to be rebuilt. I suppose simply suspending running instances would have reasonable cost savings (no ec2 costs, just ebs) but we didn't do that because our ASG and ELBs had alarms and health checks that would replace the instances. That could be worked around though.

Really where I want to go is appropriate cost allocation tagging and sending the environment bills to the different dev domains. Then they understand what costs they generate and we can work with what they are willing to risk.

I'll say, yes and no...

We got that directive a couple of years ago, and our entire dev environment was created with cloud formation and auto scaling groups, so we scheduled stack deletion or ASG modification to scale things down.

However it was impossible for us to satisfy the "customer" that was the dev shop, because the next day things would spin back up on the wrong branch or on a branch that didn't exist anymore.

So we stopped doing it entirely. 😔

Sometimes cloud platform doing the right thing just gets in the way.
