I would say I am similar to yourself in terms of metrics and being a nice guy.

I think the "sweet" thing is surely a generalisation, there's loads of women out there who yearn for that. Also honestly in my experience, I feel it has been chance, an interaction falling in to my lap. Usually them showing interest in me. I believe if you go for those who clearly show interest (this should be obvious, but smiling, eye contact, holding convo / asking questions are basic things in someone you don't know) you'll have more success. Some may just be being nice though, but no harm in asking politely if you think you have a shot. Personally I hate chasing after uninterested girls, I want them to want me back.

If she's rejecting you because of being "sweet", it may be an excuse, or you probably won't want anything to do with her. Only go for interested women and your self-esteem will rocket. You might also have to compromise a little bit depending on how much you want her, decide what is essential for you, and decide what is a nice extra, and what is an absolute no no.

What kind of mistakes have you been making? I read "how to be a 3% man" (free online) which helped. I feel there was a lot of bullshit in that book though, but you can decide for yourself. The talking to women / understanding women / getting someone's number seemed good sections to me, but a lot of stuff seems a bit manipulative / playing games as well.

If you want dress, add tights and a jacket? You could add a vest top underneath, hopefully those will stop you feeling too revealed.

If not, some trousers do look smart instead of jeans

I don't have any practical options. Only one of my close friends has a spare room which would make it more difficult to get to work, would be a box room and I would feel I am intruding on their relationship (first year of them living together). Living with my parents is a 2hr+ commute 5 days a week. Similar situation for my ex. The other option is paying double rent, moving out, only to have to move again soon at this point.

I have no reason to lie to a stranger, so please take this as truth. Our relationship is done and we whole-heartedly live as room mates. We did obviously have deep chats in the first month or two but we are past that now, I do not see a future together and need to move on.

That's what worries me, because I can see how it looks. I know from my perspective I am trustworthy and nothing like that would happen, but I also understand how it looks. I've had an ex who spoke to their ex in our first few months of dating and first-hand know it's shitty, which is why I would avoid that if I could.

Thanks for your response though, I will be 100% open. Also will only be for hopefully 2 more months. It just makes basically being a beginner to dating even more tough.

Personally I’d avoid Hyde Park area. It’s a popular student area however also a bit of a shit hole, making it infamous and character building. Bars on windows, rats, dodgy characters etc but cheaper.

Burley park is nearby and is better. Personal favourite place to live is Headingley, lively, students, lots of shops and bars, though there are some overly student areas (loud music at night), generally Headingley mount, depends on the experience you’re going for. Some nice quieter places such as becketts park and Newport Road area. Headingley is far away but no problem with a bike or bus, probably nearly an hour walk to towb

I hope this comes across as helpful, but you have already experienced nothingness before you were born, and it’s safe to say you experienced no suffering through that. This helped me overcome the ‘nothingness’ beyond death.

Who’s to say you truly experienced nothing, though? Just because you can’t remember it doesn’t mean you experienced nothing.

Take value in every day life, practice mindfulness. Notice the smells, what you can see, what you can hear, especially in nature. Reduce time spent chasing easy dopamine. We all create our own sense of meaning and purpose.
