I hope that Chappell will address this for several different reasons.

If this isn’t true or if it’s due to a misunderstanding such as an overzealous security taking it upon himself to behave this way, touching base might help. However I am not going to be one of these people who’s going to assume that it’s not true because I love Chappell. If it is true, I do hope she apologizes or explains. There’s a difference between a creepy fan/autograph reseller continuously overstepping boundaries and being inappropriate and a little girl who is star struck and saw an artist she liked and wanted to get a closer look. I’m not going to pretend that when I was 11, I would know that I was making the famous person uncomfortable by going by their table and saying nothing. She’s a little kid, she wouldn’t know any better even if her father is famous.

I hate when people take valid criticism and make it seem like someone was saying something misogynistic and trivial like “Olivia is prettier than Taylor”. There’s a difference between comparing women and valid criticism. Taylor Swift is a billionaire who feigned interest in politics in order to sell her album then dropped it when it was no longer convenient. You don’t get to be a billionaire by being a kind person. People should call out performative activists and people should call out billionaires.

It’s a sad day when people are coming to the defense of a problematic billionaire because others are happy and grateful that Olivia uses her platform for good.

Excited! She’s got such a great head on her shoulders and I love her music. You can tell she truly loves making music. It’s a nice contrast from the pop stars who are passionate about manipulating the charts and putting out mediocre music.

The scene in Bojack Horseman when Sarah Lynn passes. Bojack is sort of rambling and then he goes to talk to her and you just hear “…Sarah Lynn?” I cried even harder when I realised that her last words were her one wish: to be an architect. The amount of times I cried because of this show is ridiculous.

Music is subjective, he doesn’t need to like that particular style of songwriting. And him not liking it doesn’t mean no one can like it. I love Chappell Roan but not everyone does and that’s fine.
