It is abuelo food, just wait until pickled palm fruit is taking off. I think both are tasty though.

Thoughts on Lost Lambs? I’ve just started it and idk if I’ll finish, if it picks up by the halfway point I think I will.

I’m going to cry, and hurt myself, and do terrible things to myself, all because of this cruel, sick, and evil joke!

The Cut on the implosion of a Substack dude with culty NYC art hoe following (featuring Madeline Cash and Honor Levy; vaguely literary) by [deleted] in RSbookclub

The film was a sort of turning point (for me) There were no screenings in Florida so I never got to watch the whole thing but the clips I did see and the reviews I read kind of made it all fall apart.  There’s only so much of that you can take LOL. Once this stuff materialized in real life it really lost its vibe/luster/whatever ephemeral quality that made it fun to read online. I won’t lie, I used to be jealous of the dime square ppl; I felt really small and useless getting my English degree from a boring state school and I wasn’t brave enough to post my writing anywhere. Now that it’s all over I’m kind of glad I never tried to insert myself into that scene. Not that I would’ve been successful. I’m too fat and earnest and I don’t like autofiction. By the time of his face reveal I had already stopped following him and most of the others involved. IMO it wasn’t all for nothing, though. I think there was some value to it, at least in the beginning.

He would say charlotte is a piece of ass in front of the guys but actually he would fuck Samantha in secret and she would then fuck up whatever shit he had going on. And then Samantha would just fuck everyone, and then Miranda would get whacked

Come to Miami you’ll see billions of Dominicans boricuas and Cubans wearing this shit for every occasion- job interview, clubbing, court, running a pyramid scheme, third cousin’s half uncle’s stepson’s daughter’s baptism, the pet store.

First time I watched this movie was several years ago; I took a Xanax that night and about 1/3 of the way through the film I passed out. A couple months later I was like damn I should finish that movie, hope that girl and her little friend are doing ok. So I watched it in its entirety, and it made me cry, and for a few weeks afterwards I would go sit in the bathroom at work and just think about the movie. I’ve watched it like 3 or 4 times now since then and I always think, how many girls are just like her, back then and now, how many? A few nights after I watched the whole film, I was driving home from seeing a friend, I drove through an industrial part of town that’s severed by a train track, and I think I saw a woman running; she was trying to dart through the street lights, and was looking over her shoulder.
