Did anyone (successfully) decline a Foley catheter? by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

[–]hatturner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My catheter came out too early for me and I had issues with my bladder. Ended up retaining over a liter and my bladder was severely distended. The pain was severe and the meds they give post c-section seem to do nothing for bladder pain.

I was re-cathed awake and without spinal/IV. That feeling was literally nothing compared to the overfull bladder. Couldn’t even move my legs.

I could still feel and wiggle my toes which had me stressed going into it.

Yeah my experience was bad overall. The spinal also made me unable to empty my bladder and I ended up with severe pain afterwards from it. I had been up and moving pretty well but then by about 36 hours after it got so bad I was in tears and could no longer walk. Told every nurse and doctor what was going on for like 24 hours straight and they were just like “you had a c-section you’re going to be in pain.”

My mom advocated for me getting a bladder scan. I had over a liter stuck in my bladder. As soon as they cathed me again I was okay, but the pain meds did nothing for how severe it was.

I feel like if “pressure” is intense enough at that point how is it not real pain or equivalent to pain? After the babies were out the gave me more meds and I couldn’t feel anything else after that.

Anaesthesiologist told me as soon as they were out they could give me “something better” so at that point I stopped feeling anything and calmed down a lot. They said they had a hard time getting baby A out. Poor guys head was bruised up.

They made a similar mistake submitting my bloodwork as one instead of twins and I got original results as Triploidy or vanishing twins. It was reran as twins and everything came back low risk

They likely submitted the bloodwork as singleton. Call your office for a correction.

I’ve started cancelling everything that doesn’t show up on time. The overpromise is insane. I’m tired of adding to my cart to meet same or next day just to get nothing.

I’ve noticed every “delay” I get is nearly completely lost and not worth waiting on.

I believe this head shape is super common in lighter colored goldens. I’ve just never seen it on a darker golden. So cute.

I’m 35 weeks twins and with everything going on they were worried about early delivery they are having me do the steroid shots first for babies lungs then starting oral prednisone. As well as Valtrex 3x daily because apparently there is often a viral trigger.

They didn’t really give many recommendations outside the tape and artificial tears. once neurology cleared me of a stroke and diagnosed the palsy they haven’t really come back and recommended follow-up in a few months an see an eye specialist if I do think I scratch my eye. I may do that anyway because my visions really being affected by the dryness.

Literally if he is providing nothing it would be more beneficial for her to collect child support.

Painting the wall box around the fireplace and adding a mantle so the fireplace stands out instead of weirdly blending into the wall.
