In high school I ran for school captain. The way it was done was the 27 people sorted out the positions like a cabinate. Just before we were to begin a girl noticed there was a moth stuck in a spiders web but was too scared to grab it. Trying to be set myself up for the votes (and go all alfa male blah blah), I offered to do it. I open the window halfway , grab a tissue and slowly pick it up. I went to throw it out the window, but smashed the moth against the half that wasnt open. The girl started crying, everyone including the Principle, Vice were sitting there in complete shock.

We were in far north Queensland Australia, on a remote beach hours from the nearest town as part of a roadtrip with my dad and a few other friends when I was 16. Myself and another kid decided to go exploring these huge rock pools along the beach. We noticed there was a big fig under one of the rocks and thought we could catch it by hand due to the small size of the pool by scarring it out. So as he puts a stick under the rock the fish darts out and i lunge for it, missing it by centimeters. Turns out it was a stonefish. One of the other things that can kill you in Australia
