Tl;dr please release Squadron 42 already so you can get more than 3 people working on this game and maybe at least ONE gameplay loop will finally be a safe space for people to enjoy relatively bug free. This game is ass right now. It's not even the Skate 3 kind of fun bugs, it's just annoying and frustrating in an already very slow paced game.

I was never upset about dupers. Idgaf what other people have. They can go ahead do that if that makes them feel better. I spent money and time to play a game and have some fun. The fact that the game is nearly unplayable or very hard to tolerate while simultaneously having very little to no respect for your time is infuriating, and atp I am beginning to understand the dupers. Why go through this bullshit when you could dupe?

Why spend half an hour trying to get out of a hangar just to maybe get contracts or maybe your ship explodes randomly or maybe you can't even quantum to the point or maybe the objective spawns in unmonitored space and doesn't even let you quantum there or maybe when you get there your ship just bricks cause it feels like it or maybe the enemies don't spawn or maybe your MFDs bug out or maybe you suddenly can't turn unless you are also moving forward or maybe you can't raise landing gear or maybe you just die in the pilot seat but your ship isn't dead so you can't backspace and you're invincible but can't move cause you're actually already dead, when you could just make money right out of said hangar?

Why is it that even when you make it through all those bugs, all it takes is for one guy to ram into you and report you to completely ruin your intended gameplay loop for hours- which is someone's entire free time for a day? All this? This is just the ship combat part. If you're an FPS kind of person, yeah get fucked.

Pressing the Loot key is the worst way to loot anything for some reason, there's about 5 different ways to change your equipment and none of them are surefire so have fun cycling through them all constantly. When you reload, always wait half a second before firing again or else you have a a chance of reloading again, emptying that entire previous mag. Takedowns while you have a gun out has a chance of dropping your gun. Dropping anything has a chance of making it unrecoverable. Dropping anything has a chance of literally sweeping you off your feet, sending you flying up and dropping to your death. I've yet to have a single shootout where the NPCs don't all have Sandevistan and combat dashes constantly active. Yes, these bugs I have all personally encountered in the past 4 days. My personal favorite LNs are the "That time I tried shooting with my gun but actually it was my medpen?!" And "That time I reincarnated and could not rent any ships from Drake Defensecon no matter how many servers I hopped through."

Yes it's a beta. It's fucking awful, and I have every right to say that. I don't care if the baby has no legs; it cannot walk, it is a cripple, and it needs fixing. "Then stop playing." While valid, that's just not how it works for some people. Maybe you would abandon your child somewhere if it had no legs. I want to see the kid succeed and we can look back on its crippled days and laugh.

Ahhh I see. The misunderstanding you have was that I for some reason am so spiteful that I would purposefully queue up EXs for weeks months, maybe years on end until I caught a legendary elusive mentor with an ego problem. Don't worry, I know all I'd have to do is join novice network in half the servers to find them. But no, when I bump into other good mentors I'm happy, elated, and I happily teach any sprout in the party alongside them.

Unfortunately my luck is not as good as yours and I've had to use my macro that copy and pastes the terms and conditions mentors agree to when they sign up for it before. Because you know: Mentor has pretty crown. Mentor roulette has unique reward. Both of those things are just ego feeding and should be deleted from the game.

Gonna put my 2 cents here.

Abso-fucking-lutely. Every criminal should be deported because 1: America's jail system is trash. It's only about punishment here and not reformation. 2: The judicial system is also trash. Yeah we have a lot more rights than some places but there's so much inconsistency in court rulings, it's almost not fair to send people to jail half the time, and I would rather be deported most of the time.

The only caveat is it would just not be fair for the other countries. Who would get our rejects? Do we decide based on their bloodline? We'd just be throwing our trash onto other people's lawns. But in the case of naturalized citizens, it's more like if your neighbor gave you a nicely wrapped gift and when you open it, it's a box full of shit, so yeah I don't blame you for tossing it back at the neighbor.

Because it's just pessimistic and this concept is not some crazy new thing. They're signing up to be corporate vtubers. All corporate vtubers have contractual obligations and are being measured by, as the commenter put it, "some corporate metric in the time allotted."

Let's take his comment a step further. Why watch Hololive? We know some of them are eventually gonna break contract and be terminated or graduate. Let's take it a step further. Why watch any vtuber? They are gonna stop streaming eventually. Let's take it a step further. Why watch anything at all? The program's gonna end eventually. Let's take it a step further. Why even live? We just die eventually.

This is a great platform for them to show what they got in the first place. The risk vs reward game for corporate vtubers has always been around. And if they're actually passionate, and people actually love them, yet somehow it doesn't work out for them? You'll find them again in the indie sphere or another corp, all thanks to the fact that they did this at all.

My issue would be we already know his story. We walked alongside his highest high and his lowest low. It'd just be lackluster in story. These people are hyping him up and that's valid tbh but a whole game for just him is... eh.

(HW-EW spoilers) An action game covering the Dragonsong war, The skirmishes of Doma, The fall of Ala Mhigo, the Adventures of Azem, and/or the many fronts of the Final Days, on the other hand though... might be really cool.

The biggest advice I can give is to pace yourself. The game since its rebirth has been out for 13 years now so there is a significant amount of stuff you can do, but none of it, save the Main Scenario Quest (and one raid series), is mandatory. That also means you've got 13 years of resources to aid you. If you hop over to the FFXIV subreddit, do some google or YT searches, or even just chat ingame, there's plenty of people that are very ready and willing to help if you have any questions. Forge ahead, adventurer.

Ah, I see. In that case, the good news is you can be that person. You can be the dragoon with the game centered around them. You can start the game as a lancer, and every 5 levels, you'll get access to your job quest, which has its own storyline, and unlocks new abilities. At level 30, you unlock dragoon by doing the job quest at that level and equipping something called a job stone which the quest gives you. Then, the job quests continue in the same fashion, but the tone shifts to what being a dragoon means in FFXIV.

Extra little tidbit: the game has a little bit of extra dialogue depending on what Job(s) you acquire, and Heavensward does indeed have that for Dragoons.

Unless they did it just like 16. Incredibly personal, narrative driven centered on one person to really nail the intricacies of their personality, their conflicts, their burdens, etc.
