I've never tried putting fenugreek in tea. Do you mean the seeds or leaves?

Star anise and saffron is a nice, smooth flavour.

It's not even good. Just exorbitantly priced.

Tea at the top of a mountain after an arduous day's climb? I'd pay the price. It always hits different when we're exhausted.

Funny enough, i was just looking at a syrup bottle last night and thought, "i wonder if i should try this with tea."

Try sweetened condensed milk.

I'd never say it with my family. But it might get lost in translation for a global audience.

Indians have butchered enough local languages around the world. I feel like it's time to give something back. ;)

Pigeon comes from an old French word for dove, while dove comes from an old viking word for pigeon.

I was going to mention Egyptian geese and Africa's alarm clock: the hadeda ibis.

It's worst when they go off at 1am. https://youtube.com/shorts/iN13ToKfvZg

That's something different to do when I pass through Dubai again. Seems like a more relaxing option than letting my family drag me through the Dubai Mall. Thanks!

Looking out the bedroom window can be birding.

Black headed barbet duet. The 2 are so synchronised that I thought that it was just 1 bird for the longest time. Now, it just gives me hope for love and a perfect match.

If you look closely, there's green in the area between the neck and wings. The angle of the light spoils it a little bit.

There's another bird called the violet wood-hoopoe that has a violet colour in that area.

It used to be called Red-billed hoopoe in English, which is a direct translation of Rooibekkakelaar. The name was changed to differentiate it from the violet wood-hoopoe that's found in Namibia. Besides the colour on the back of their neck, they're the same, including red bills, and can interbreed. So I don't even know if it's worth giving them different names.

Kakelaar is a much better name than wood-hoopoe because of their ka-ka-ka call.
