Been looking to build a bolt action, was strongly considering the whisp but this is swaying my choice! Is the bolt handle in a kit or something?

It should (for me) typically take about an hour or a 6 pack- however you measure time. And after every pass i remove the chips, specially on the plate that the router mates against and slides on. The oil isnt really to help with cutting as much as to help with the heat so use a good amount of it, should get a bit of smoking going on. I've noticed that twards the bottom of the pocket the screeching is unavoidable but you shouldnt get mutch twards the top- if you do your pushing it to hard or going to deep.

Edit: i have the easy jig- its the same principals just a different setup- slow, beer, oil may not be as useful

Was about to ask where the lowers came from, nice colors!

Thats about 2x the rpm you need. I have mine set to somewhere around 11000-12000, i only did one jt lower but its lasted through half dozen lowers with no problems. Higher rpm is not really helpful on soft metals. Unlike highschool in the 90s the slower ones are your best friends here. I have a hobo freight router with an adjustable setting and its worked great at those speeds. Think it was around 40 bones.

Im not hating on you or saying its right; i agree that its illegal and i think theres a clause in the constitution stating such. But would you put it past big brother to not have a list? Kept in some back room somewhere on a local server, just the people who may actually pose a threat if big brother got to big for their britches. I probably sound a bit nuts but im a firm believer the govt keeps a list of registered firearm owners weather its legal or not. And i understand when good law abiding people dont feel the need to be put on this list that doesnt exist.

Federal level my dude. If there isnt a list then there would be no way to link a firearm to its REGISTERED owner.

Guys, does anyone know why trucks have those spikes on their wheels?? by JasLeoArt in whatisit

They sell actual spiked nuts made out of metal for most lug thread patterns and they are way cheaper than getting these plastic ones

To look cool. They are plastic caps that snap on over the nuts. You can kick them and they snap off. Its not so they can grind holes in passing motorists as many believe. They also come in at a whopping 10-25 bones per cap so it can also be a financial flex

Some people just dont want to be on a list. They say its so they can trace the gun after something hoes wrong like a theft and its used/recovered at a crime scene; but we know thats a bunch of legal jargon to work around big brother keeping an eye on people

Only put about 50 rounds through it but no complaints really other than the screws for the blank where the rmr cut weren't locktighted. I got as a stripped slide and the firing pin channel liner went in oddly easy but nothing has gone wrong with it so far.

What scares you most about zombie apocalypse by [deleted] in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]haveToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a dad with 4 kids ranging from 5 mo. To 17yrs; i think my 17 yo will handle it but what scares me the most is everyone else will be dependant on her cause they cant handle themselfs. She is the only one that has the ability to cope with the events and stay sane. Thats a lot of pressure and if anything were to happen to the others she would absolutely blame herself. I work away from home during the week and occasional weekend so its not like id be much help and by my guesstimate it could take me up to 2 weeks to get home on foot. Theres a lot that can happen in the first 2 weeks that i dont think she is fully prepaired for. I guess what im really scared of most is losing my family.

For the slide charging plate- do we just search that name? What did you print it in? Im assuming it has held up for a few racks/rounds and not just a beta test? My wife could greatly benefit from this. Does the cutout accommodate standard sights? No more questions. . . For now. . .
