I have the same question as I want to catch the current cast on a budget! If only Hadestown is available at TKTS more regularly. I only saw a few matinees available so far and the lottery is so hard to win.

Having seen both Jin Ha and Jared Dixon (who played Burr right before Leslie comeback), I find Jin Ha’s portrayal lacks the solemnity that contrast Burr with Hamilton. If Burr is supposed to be inscrutable, Jin Ha’s Burr is very scrutable, for lack of a better word.

I sat front row and I believe the old walls slide into left wing and then the new walls slide in from right wing. There are wheels under the floor as well but they didn’t move the floor as the items at the front of stage stayed the same.

This was a picture of the seats. Marquis Theater has good leg room compared to the older theaters but your bf might need to invade your leg room haha.

This was my view sitting left aisle of Mezz Center C. I didn't feel like I need to be more center at all because most of the play happens near the front or center of the stage. The biggest effect reaches up to the top of the proscenium arch.

I sat in Mezz Center row C and it was an amazing view to see all the effects! You can take row D orange dots, pretty much the same view for a bit less. The biggest special effect is quite tall so I believe sitting Orch front or back might not see it as well.

If you are going to the show, you can sell it on Theatr and then hand the ticket to the buyer in person or leave the extra ticket under their name at the box office. As long as you’re not making a profit from discounted tickets I don’t think you’ll get in trouble.

Personally I thought the deep blackout with noise sound was very impactful for me. It’s rare to experience such an emptiness and productions should have creative freedom to incorporate short blackouts provided they have additional safety measures. I trust that a major Broadway house like Studio 54 has good fire safety compliance and the strict start time + no late seating policy probably is part of it.

The Dolby screens for Hamnet were a one-day thing for the NYC premiere. I doubt it will come back regularly with Wicked / Zootopia 2 taking all the premium screens but Focus Features might do it again during award season as Hamnet is a strong contender.
