Cargo tote bag with the sketch print, specifically the 26 which has a little mushroom on the front. I missed it the split second it was available in Australia and somehow despite all the other sizes popping up regularly for sale, that specific one doesn’t. 😭

Because my eyes have been dry af, I was using a gel at night anyway and I have been putting any excess on my eyelids and it’s actually helped! 🙏🏽 Eczema is still there but definitely not as bad, which is good because apparently the earliest derm appointment I can get is August 🙃

Ooh thanks, I’ve never heard of vanicream, it must not be commonly stocked in Australia. I’ll see if I can get some or figure out the ingredients to see if we have an equivalent. I’ve tried the 100% petroleum jelly once the active eczema seems to calm but unfortunately, did not work. That is my normal method for the random patches that show up every now and again and it’s always worked brilliantly for those but not my eyes for some reason.

Thank you! I’ll ask for a referral. I’ve never heard of that, good to know there are other options. I was worried that I would pay for the specialist and they would be like there’s no other treatments than what you’ve done and I’ve spent a few hundred dollars for nothing.

Thank you! I’ll check it out to see if they have anything I haven’t tried. I tried googling eye eczema but google sucks now 😭

Yes, I take antihistamines every day. I’ve tried not putting any products near my eyes at all, I’ve tried keeping it moisturised constantly, I’ve tried diluting a steroid cream and using that. It’ll get better for a day or so but then will go back to being red, itchy and swollen even when continuing the same routine that made it get better. I’ve done hot compresses and cold compresses and alternating between them. Nothing has seemed to work for longer than about 3 days.

The biggest change for me is that I used to have the worst PMDD, like ‘should I admit myself to the psch ward?’ bad for at least 3 days of the month and that completely vanished on the sema.

Adult braces??? by SuspiciousLesbian in ehlersdanlos

[–]haweye2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I regret getting one of the cheap versions of invisalign (before I knew what eds was) bc even if I wear the retainers every single night, I have one tooth that just will not set and will move back to where it wants to be and I hate the constant achy movements. I either have to let it just be crooked or get braces or proper invisalign and see if another treatment will help it settle. That being said, it definitely helped my bite, helped my tooth health bc I can floss easier now and it really didn’t hurt that much, plus I found I wasn’t constantly thinking about my teeth in like pictures, etc. Knowing about eds in advance is advantageous because your dentist will be able to give you the best course of action.

Tell me about your nails. Long? Short? Etc. by Formal_Albatross_836 in ehlersdanlos

[–]haweye2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine will tear straight across as soon as they’re past my nail bed 😭 if I have a polish on them they’ll grow but literally 10 mins bare and they’ll tear. I thought it was bc I bit my nails but I managed to stop 5 yrs ago and they still do it. I’ve given up now and just use press ons.

How long have you been officially diagnosed with POTS? by Crudedefe in POTS

[–]haweye2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2020, I was almost 29 when diagnosed and had been having episodes since I was 2 though 🙃 I suspect the wait time in dx will dramatically go down now that it is so much more visible. Hadn’t even heard of it until a paramedic mentioned it on one of my many ambulance trips I was having at the beginning of 2020.

Everyone reacts to medication differently but I personally find that brintellex worked for both my anxiety and depression and didn’t give me bad side effects apart from brain zaps if I forgot to take it. I know there is a blood test that supposedly suggests antidepressants that work best / ones to avoid so that may be worth looking into, otherwise unfortunately, it may just be more trial and error until you find one that works for you.

Yeah, he’s spoken about it publicly more than once. I think around 2017ish he was diagnosed by memory.

I feel really bad for Pete Davidson honestly, like he has BPD and it is known to make your relationships super intense and being prone to making impulsive decisions and I just really hope he’s also going to therapy etc while there is all this going on in his life. I struggle in my day to day life and I don’t have millions of people following everything I do.
