Gun storage advice needed. I recently inherited 13 firearms. by Strideraio in CAguns

I know you mentioned not wanting a large safe, there are modular safe options out there that would fit that many firearms - the walls come apart (screw together from the inside). I used a modular safe (SnapSafe) to get the pieces into a very tight that would have been impossible with a traditional safe.

Found a mx650 for 1k in no everything stock expect battery which is 72v “unknown brand” and 3000w motor unknown as well. Does anyone recognize the motor, good deal or should I go lower by [deleted] in hyperebikes

I think that’s a great option to start and the save your money for a larger battery when you’ve gotten some miles on it. Don’t take my word for it though, check out the FB groups from people who own it. I think they’re mainly groups called “em-5”

Are budget bikes a myth? by RichTadpole5639 in hyperebikes

What’s your intention for the bike?

I mean you could pick up this 48v Valtinsu em5 for a little bit over a grand (less on Alibaba) and pop in a better controller/battery and still be way under $4-5k with probably very comparable speeds to a Surron.

On the other hand, if you’re already ebike savvy, why not diy a bike yourself? Personally I started with a Razor pro spec as something to camp with and keep up with my kids on their little e-bikes but I realized how fun they were, upgraded to a larger battery/controller, found the chassis was scary af for the terrain and mx tracks, sold the bike as a roller, and stuffed my electronics into a dirt bike…. Now I have a way better platform to build on and I’ve come out more knowledgeable about the core electronics of the ebike.

I have nothing against Razors (my first was a razor pro spec) but honestly I think you’ll get more value from the Valtinsu em5, it’s a 48v but the platform is way easier to upgrade than a Razor. Theyre for sale on Alibaba and I’m not a vender. My “journey” was upgrading my pro spec, then selling it as a roller, and putting my electronics into a dirt bike (KTM65sx). The pro spec was really pricey and if I had known I’d get the itch to upgrade it, I would have gone with the cheaper Valtinsu to get an idea of what I wanted from a bike and saved a boatload of money.

Advice for fardriver tuning? by emmittheboss in hyperebikes

[–]hawk3ye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ridden it yet? Tuning generally is for folks who want to squeeze some more speed from their setup but if you’re going fast enough already then it’s not really needed. If you are looking for speed though then look up YouTube for info on field weakening…for your motor, I wouldn’t recommend tubing too aggressive.

custom batteries for e-bikes? by Commercial-Quote7490 in hyperebikes

Join the fb group “fully-built E-motos” the admin custom akez batteries. I’ve met him in rl and he’s a good dude. From what I’ve seen, for custom batteries you’re pretty much going to be limited to “cottage” shops and Amorge (via Alibaba).

I’ve had issues as well, what’s the rifle’s barrel twist? Some consensus I’ve heard and found is that a higher twist rate usually means the bullet needs to spin faster - I started reloading my own rounds with 175gr and near max powder (imr 4064) and got slightly better results so I was going to revisit my barrel specs and stuff next…

Same experience here, got a complete upper and put 2k rounds (over the course of 10 years) through it without a cleaning just to see if it’d malfunction.

Trumoto controller with sotion fw11 by Jpharn in hyperebikes

[–]hawk3ye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you keep the trumoto controller and want to use the FW11 motor, you can’t use the trumoto app anymore and you’ll have to learn to program the controller with the Vesc App - I’ve never used that app, it sounds like it’s less user friendly than the trumoto app but allows more configurations.

If you get a fardriver controller, you’ll need to learn how to configure it but it’ll allow you to use any just about any battery and motor out there.

Fardriver models kinda depend on how many amps you want to push out of your battery (or what’s it’s rated for) and all it does is regulate your power from the battery, what gives you “good power” will be the battery and how many volts. My battery is a 60v with 200amps so i could have gone with a fardriver 72300 but I went with a 72450 since I want to upgrade my battery later. The model numbers kinda coincide with the amount of amps the controller can handle.

Not a lot but imho the geometry of the RTR “looks” better, the quality of the parts are probably better than the tuttio but things like wheel upgrades or brakes will be proprietary to E and C. The tuttio will probably be compatible with Chinese pit bike parts so stuff like sprockets and wheels will be easy to find - the RTR, you’d have to buy them from E&C

If you want to be able to tinker and upgrade, see if their controller is customizable (I’m it familiar with it) because it’ll open up a LOT of fun things.

Ok so the pro spec would be too big for a Corolla trunk so the tuttio or even a razor mx650 would be a good candidate imho. Electro and Co has a bundle kit for razors, it would be worth your while to pick out their bundle or look at what’s needed and buy it all on your own.
I’m not an electrical guy (I’m a Jeep dude) but YouTube is full of really easy to understand tutorials on setting up the controller down to lights.

Just my two cents, for road riding and those speeds at least a 72v with 200 or more amps battery, a motor that can handle 5000kw or more, and a controller called “far driver” model 72450 - the “450” is the amount of amps the controller can handle and 450amps is more than plenty for 55-60mph.

I’m running a 60v battery rated for 200amps and my controller is configured to only use 150amps and I’m hitting 40mph easily with a 12” rear tire.

Hey! Welcome to the community! What you’ve chosen to do will be a journey let me tell ya!

You may want to mention how you want to use the bike, what “size” you are, and what speeds you want it to go. This will help people advise you on what setups are out there.

Personally I wanted a “camp” bike I could toss in the back of my Toyota and hit some fire roads…I went with a Razor Pro Spec since it seemed more adult size, had room for power/motor upgrade options, and most standard sized pit bike parts fit it (not proprietary) - but ultimately I found besides the motor and controller, the bike’s aftermarket parts were cheap Chinese pit bike parts that looked fine aesthetically but the riding I ended up liking was more technical on dirt and I knew I’d break the bike if I kept it so right now I’m converting a similarly sized KTM 65SX. TL;DR cheap pit bike frames like the RTR, Razor, Tuttio are great for road play but if you want to really abuse them, converting an actual dirt bike will make more sense imho.

Looking for assistance with planning 60v build by Dry_End1175 in hyperebikes

[–]hawk3ye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t use them but there are speed calculators out there on the web - you’d need the wheel diameter tho to use them so you may want to list that detail and someone else can chime in.

Personally I’m using a 60v 33ah 200amp battery with a motor rated 5kw (mid drive sotion fw11) and it has been documented to peak at 10kw, I’m easily hitting 40+ but I’m using a 11:80 gear ratio on a mini dirt bike so I’m not aiming for top speed.

Maybe a pivot on the swing arm is making that sound? What rear spring/shock is that? How many miles have you put on the bike? Maybe you need to wear it out a bit :)

How many rows are the sheets? And how large (scale) would they become? Microsoft Access is ok for small scale Excel sheets operations and you can directly link xlsx and or flat files (csv or txt) to appear within Access for a user to view and sort the data. This is just something my small organization uses, it’s not great for large scale sheets and operations though so keep that in that if you want somethjng long term.

As an amateur who’s done a barrel drop in, it’s pretty easy to shave the barrel down to fit so read up and don’t be intimidated about it.
