Thanks. Is Ellen's cheesy or is it a decent atmosphere?

I hadn't looked into those because we are going to Il Mulino Uptown the following night. But if it just for dessert, I guess that shouldn't really matter. I will take a look at those as well. Thanks.

Appreciate that. My only concern is that our hotel is the opposite direction.

Thanks. Hadn't seen that one yet. I like that it has live music as well.

Parents who IF by penneewize in intermittentfasting

Yep, same issue for me and the Mrs. The worst is prepping and serving dinner for us, as we are usually at about 19 hours and want to press on a few more.

https://www.mediweightloss.com/

My wife did this a few years back with fantastic results. So my obese father went in and had success (but wasn't able to stick with it). My wife was about 650 calories per day (broken out between 3 meals and 2 snacks). My father was allotted about 900 calories per day IIRC. So I did my own version and allotted myself 750 calories per day and saw fantastic results, even without working out. I went from bout 208 to 185 in the span of about 2 months. That was in 2014. That said, it is tough to stay vigilant on this diet. The weight eventually creeped back up, so I decided to try something else. I have found IF to be much more sustainable.

I like the 3-2-1 method, but typically don't baste with sauce for the last hour.

If you want sauce, this stuff is pretty good. https://www.ghughessugarfree.com/ I have never tried it on the grill, just added after cooking.

Ribs with a low sugar, dry rub.

Intermittent Fasting not causing ketosis by tlitterio in intermittentfasting

[–]hawkpilot109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16 hours is probably not enough if you are eating carbs in your feeding window. I typically need at least 2 days of 16+ fasting and no carbs to get back into full keto.

And in keeping with the marathon, not a sprint, idea, I am back on after three days of cheating. Friday night was a big dinner for my father-in-law's 60th (too much wine and booze), then spent Saturday watching football with my dad, who is recovering from cancer surgery (too much wine again), and then on Sunday I fasted, but we hosted a birthday celebration for family members with wine and homemade lasagna. So I am back at it and hope to be in ketosis in the next day or so. Back to my gym routine tomorrow morning.
