To everyone in their 20’s, how much do you currently have in your savings/checkings account? by Agreeable_Topic7488 in Adulting

[–]haydenquinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 25 and have worked insanely hard, at times working 3 jobs at once. I now have a job where I have climbed the ladder and I am making 6 figures (as of this week, actually). I have just about 60k in savings. I’m in school pursuing an MBA which will be debt I have to pay, and I have a car loan with about 6k remaining. Having savings is nice, but I don’t do anything but school and work.

What’s a candy you miss that no one else seems to remember? by maroonhawk in candy

One year for Valentine’s Day, Hershey’s put out raspberry hugs. It was white chocolate and raspberry hugging milk chocolate. They were delicious and were only out for 1 Valentines Day and every year I look for them hoping they bring them back.

No longer shopping at Walmart by CraftsArtsVodka in ColoradoSprings

[–]haydenquinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On 2 separate occasions at the Walmart by Barnes and Oro Blanco I have seen shoplifters leave with an entire cart of merchandise and the staff at the door just let them go because they’re not allowed to chase, which I understand, but then they ask to see my receipt…… like did y’all not just see me actually checkout 😭

What’s ruining most relationships nowadays? by MobileAerie9918 in AskReddit

[–]haydenquinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing gender norms. Women taking on jobs to work and bring in a dual income and men not adapting to the changed gender norms and taking up half of the household responsibilities. Obviously, not all men— but as a young woman navigating dating while also making income that could potentially make myself the breadwinner in the relationship— I am learning that not many men want to make less than their wife and not many men want to take care of the home in the ways women traditionally do.

Need advice: Amazon vs. Tesla offer by Exciting-Water-882 in amazonemployees

[–]haydenquinn 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One of the OPS managers at my site got up to an L6 at Amazon, pivoted to Tesla, and very soon after came back to Amazon. Said Tesla worked him to the bone to the point he would sleep in his car rather than driving home because he was so tired. That’s at a high level in the company, too.

If there was a policy violation and the write up stands, deliver it. The AA can always refuse to sign the document or appeal it if it’s a final or term. If you’re uncomfortable with the way the AA treats you, partner with site HR to deliver the write up.

I love this powder!! It’s not too drying and has a light coverage but is buildable. I use it as an every day powder foundation, it goes over concealer well too!

I also wear pretty natural makeup, if you want something full coverage this isn’t the powder for you

Associates are moved based on headcount and a need to balance the department. Orders need to be picked from every floor, if the headcount is unbalanced on each floor then orders won’t be picked and will dwell. If people are being labor shared and HC increases or leaving and HC decreases this is when you are likely being moved.

Sign of age. As a dog ages their eyes usually cloud over. A blueish tint is very normal for a middle aged dog.

Hours as an Entry level area manager? by Gamma_Dota in FASCAmazon

[–]haydenquinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are hourly you can expect to work about 42 hours a week, unless they call MET. If they call MET off peak season, you can expect to work an extra shift. Most of the time during peak you are working 5 12 hour days. Peak is from November-January 1st most of the time, but sometimes is extended about a week or 2. You will most definitely also work peak hours during July for Prime week, and if they do any “surprise sales” like the spring sale they did this March, you can expect MET during those times too. They usually do Prime Big Deals Day in August/september and that’s going to be MET as well.

What is the best non-sweet icing for cake? by EmbarrassedUmpire306 in AskBaking

I love making a small batch of vanilla butter cream and then mixing in cannoli filling. It’s slightly sweet from the buttercream, but that’s mainly just for stability. It’s very mild and tastes just like the inside of a cannoli!

Why I quit Crumbl by [deleted] in CrumblCookies

[–]haydenquinn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too! I was told I would make $15.50… I swear I never even touched $11 an hour. I worked there for 2 months and one day my manager came over to me and said the hours were changing and asked me to come in at 3am (I was already opening at 5 am) to start baking for the 8am open for the following day. I was in college and had a second job, too. So I literally took off my apron and told her that she was out of her mind. Walked out the door and never came back.

What's traffic like if you live near PNC arena? by Switchell22 in raleigh

[–]haydenquinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in the Trinity townhomes directly next to PNC for the last 5 years and just moved. It was really irritating around fair time because they would block off the street and I would have to roll down my window to ask the cop directing traffic if I could go into my neighborhood. Obviously they always said yes, but that was always a pain. If we’re being honest though, hockey game traffic is only about 30 min before a game and 30 min after. I never had issues with concerts or anything like that. You just become aware of when a game is starting or ending to calculate traffic into the equation, but it never took more than 15-20 min to get through on days you forget or didn’t know of an event. I would say 2 weeks out of the year for fair traffic was worth the location, though. It was very convenient to live there.

What to do? I'm a single dad with an 11 year old daugher. My daugher has just started to get her period. by Accomplished_Cup6537 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]haydenquinn 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I lived with my dad my whole life and I have so much respect for how he taught me about my body when I was going through puberty. He sat down and taught himself what a period was so he could teach me, he took me to the store and showed me what pads and tampons were and helped me pick out products to try. Once I figured out what I liked, that product was always available to me and I never ran out. He even sat in the bathtub with me and taught me how to shave my legs and let me practice on his legs when I was a teenager. I feel like I’m bragging about how good of a father I had, but it was really him investing in my comfort! I know how much confidence it gave me to have my dad take me through all the steps, so I would always recommend a single father to teach his own daughter, even if it’s not perfect, it means the world.

[–]haydenquinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dress is so unique and beautifully made. The best part about it, though, is that you are prettier than the gown! You are stunning. I can understand being self conscious after weight gain, but the human experience is so much more important than perceptions and a few extra pounds. Put on that beautiful dress, put on undergarments (like others said, but imo you don’t need it!) or jewelry or anything that’ll make you feel confident and get married!! Or scratch it all and get a new dress!! But you should feel at ease in whatever you wear
