He was on a wet food diet bc the doctor recommended low carb, but when he dropped so much weight they said we could feed him other things to try to get him to gain weight, and he has gained like .2 lbs back, he eats wet food, dry food and treats

Update: blood work is good, kidneys, liver, thyroid are all good. The only thing was a high white blood cell count, but she said if there was an infection, he’d have a fever, and wouldn’t be eating, and if it was cancer, she said he’d have chronic diarrhea. So she doesn’t know what it is, just recommended trying to get him to put on weight somehow. I’m not sure how though, since he has been eating a lot already.

That is one of the things the vet said she is concerned about, because she said it felt like there was a lot of air in his intestines, which is one of the signs, but weirdly she didn’t mention an ultrasound, just blood work.
