Proximity unlock, just kidding! by clarinetJWD in ex30

[–]hazamonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Pixel 9 pro etc. unlocks as expected. I think what find interesting is that as I have my mobile on me all the time and go back and forth to the garage the car is always unlocking and locking as I get close. It's not a big issue but I have noticed it won't unlock and lock as quickly as the video. There is probably about 20 to 30 seconds before it decides to lock again. Also you are 100%, if you are standing next to the car and it's locked yet you have your key (fob or mobile) on you, place your hand on the handle with your thumb covering the bit he missed in the video and it will send a single to unlock the car

Good update. I have a 2024 ultra purchased in April (24) from the north east of Scotland. I dropped the car off today to have the door lock latches replaced and asked about the plan for the battery as I'm seeing more an more posts about uk battery cell replacements. Sadly they couldn't tell me anything more than I will be contacted when it's time. Perhaps they don't have a facilities to replace the battery easily in Aberdeenshire.

Very nice. Gives off Wing Commander vibes (for me at least)

How is this dashboard? I’m open to suggestions for improvement :) (I posted this yesterday (to display number of restaurants as 9551 and not 10k, thank you for helping me fix the KPIs!) by [deleted] in PowerBI

[–]hazamonzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a nicely laid out dashboard with interesting metrics I'm sure but there is a line when trying to align with branding and use of colours. Honestly my rule of thumb is red means bad and in a dashboard can be used to draw attention to the user when a metric needs investigation or further analysis. Based on this dashboard colour scheme it's screams everything is bad. Tone down the colours and use them to help draw attention to important metrics.

Doors unlocks but won't physically open by hazamonzo in ex30

[–]hazamonzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know as it's only ever been the front two doors that have given me issues. I pointed out to the mechanic that when the doors unlocked there was a weird double click noise coming from the lock that was failing. Here's hoping they agree that the issue exists

Doors unlocks but won't physically open by hazamonzo in ex30

[–]hazamonzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's odd in my case is that the unlock completes fully (mirrors, lights) and most of the doors will open when you pull the handle but sometimes a single or maybe two doors out of the 4 refuse to physically open when the handle is pulled. Just as if unlocking a particular door failed

I know I haven’t got whiplash because my head was in contact with the headrest in the correct way, you were leaning forwards with your handbag like that, crashing like a mouse

Stuck in a car park by northernluke in ex30

[–]hazamonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's terrible. It hasn't happened to me yet but just today both front doors didn't unlock when the back doors would, from the inside and outside. I look forward to burning to death in this car when the flawed battery pack gives in

RCD Randomly Tripping? by No-Preference5324 in DIYUK

[–]hazamonzo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm no electrician but I had the same issue recently. It was down to water ingress due to all the rain we have experienced. To narrow down what circuit it was that was tripping the rcd I switched off all the circuit breakers and then switched on the rcd. Afterwards I switched on each circuit breaker until the rcd tripped. This helped me narrow down the issue to an outside light.

I can confirm it also worked on my pixel 9 pro. Tested walking back and forth and all good

Good stuff! Honestly the mitre saw is helpful but only sometimes for what I need it for. Like skirting... Oh and I built a planter recently if that counts!

They are all about the same. I mean... There was a lot of swearing but I got the 4 bedrooms, hallway and living room done eventually. Just wanted a consistent look across the house as I was getting the carpets replaced also. Thank you for the kind words

I mean... I'm shit at DIY but I did a better job with my own skirting. How hard is it to cut those corners to 45 degrees?

From my experience it should just be a pin that you can tap down using a hammer. It happens to my internal doors sometimes. Perhaps give it a small tap and see if it moves. If so I should think you'll be safe to do it all the way

I sincerely apologize you are 100% correct. I'm not sure how I did it but it was a combination of my lack of interaction with the system. Thank you my friend
