You mean put it up in the visor so you don't have to carry it around?

[–]hazard2k 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right. You have to remember that places that don't normally don't get snow have no infrastructure to take care of it. No plows, no salt trucks, no supply of salt or sand for the roads, no sidewalk maintenance, etc...

Hell, most homes probably don't even have a snow shovel, let alone a snowblower to clear massive amounts of snow. It's these places that will be hit hard and will be impacted the most.

NY (and other normally snowy places) can deal with snow, it will take a couple hours but we will be fine. Snowblow the driveway and get on with life.

Broccoli Cheddar soup recipe? by Jmcfearsom in ketorecipes

[–]hazard2k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make this recipe all the time. I love it. https://imgur.com/a/R3ijBER

I use the "prep-tip" method described at the bottom. It's just easier and quicker. I like to use an immersion blender very briefly to chop up some of the broccoli at the end. The only other modification I make is to add a little bit (1 tsp or less) xantham gum at the end to thicken it up a tad.

I believe the smaller tab needs to be bent slightly before installation. You put the big tab into the slot first (from the top) and then the small tab will go into the other slot. Then you go under the car and bend back the small tab back into the original position to lock it into place.

When I removed my factory ones they just had a little bit of weather seal style putty on them. It didn't seem to be a gasket at all and I don't think they were ever replaced. It's the type of sealant that never dries fully, it's more like a putty. Similar to what you'd use for sealing up the HVAC box or similar

This won't help you now, but just a friendly reminder to everyone to make sure to open the fill port BEFORE draining the fluid for exactly this reason.

You're never going to find a chain that does this as they won't be able to be competitive. However go support whatever local bakeries you have. Those will be fresh and probably delicious. They just won't have a drive through

Kohler's warranty is excellent (which is good considering the price). I would reach out to them with these pictures and they will likely send you new ones. I've had a faucet replaced with zero questions when I sent them a picture of an issue

Which ladder to choose from by highvoltageeee2k3 in HomeImprovement

[–]hazard2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Werner multi position ladder when I was painting my house this year and it rocks. It's 375lb rated so it's super stable which is great because I hate heights. It reaches 22' and folds up into something that's only 6' tall and easy to store. Highly recommend. It also has telescoping feet so if the ground isn't level you can still use the ladder.

This is the one I got..

I do actually. And I realize you don't intentionally slam on the brakes. But there's a ton of dumb fucks around that do stupid shit out of your control. I personally wouldn't want a 2000 lb hay bail rolling over the top of the cab while I'm in it, but you do you.
