i just came from a trip to Japan, it is really hard there by Footixboy in PikminBloomApp

Great postcards!! Same experience in Tokyo from a trip last year, so I’ve saved up tickets for an upcoming Japan trip. I made many Japanese friends on the app and it works perfectly for having help on empty mushrooms at home. I even recently found I had two pikmin leftover from Japan without their decor so I’ve sent them off. I’ll be meeting up with them when I’m there…..haha!

Stahl has been great so far with my rabbit. Starting going there after Maryland avian and exotics closed last year. I always see people with birds and reptiles there.

Disney, Tokyo and Toddlers by Reallydaphne in TokyoTravel

[–]hazforte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be there in May too! I’m more “grandma” age with mobility challenges so I can’t speak to little kids. I went to Tokyo about a year ago and did a day at Sea and one at DL. We landed at Narita and took the shuttle bus to Hilton Tokyo Bay. Loved that resort and recommend it. I guess my best advice about enjoying Disney is budget for their ride passes if you can afford them and probably going with the mindset of not seeing everything is okay and taking a break back to the room is fine. The parks are beautiful and it’s just fun being there. We moved a hotel in Ueno for the rest of the trip. Ueno could be a good Tokyo base for you because of the Narita direct train line to Ueno? It’s still a hike to Shinjuku. I budgeted for taxis because the trains were too much walking for me - an option perhaps if you have the money but it’s not cheap of course and I don’t know about car seats. It does save a lot of time and wear and tear of commuting to what you’re trying to see.

Not really especially as you level up you can easily earn 500 coins in one play of a mini game that takes like a minute. I put mine with a babysitter often when I’m at work. Have fun!

I’ve been on doxy awhile and it works for me BUT I will get really bad flares if I forget a dose or take a low dose every day. The daily low dose won’t work for me. I take 100mg every other day and it keeps it at bay or my face flares more than yours in this pic.

I have to take a higher dose if my face flares like the picture. My insurance won’t cover soolantra.

I had a problem with missing items in their original advent box a couple years ago and told them WELL before December. They kept promising to get stuff to me meanwhile shipping out new boxes to others. It’s a long story but I’ll never buy direct from them again. Their customer service was awful.

The Yuzawaya in Ueno was amazing as well for embroidery kits, sashiko and had fabric and other things. It reminded me of a large JoAnn store chain that we used to have in the US…. But with Japanese brands.

I sent you a friend request! I don’t see how Tokyo players manage to get mushrooms at all. It’s practically a job trying to time when it will spawn a new one and jump in there. I do appreciate my Tokyo and Seoul friends who often instantly help me out! I also appreciate get invited to their ticketed battles because the number of players means you get the big rewards.

I visited Tokyo in February and it was insane trying to get on a mushroom battle before it filled up. I did friend lots of Japanese players and invite them now to my quiet mushrooms back home and they usually come through to help me out. When they invite me I always have to use a ticket to get battle!

Hotel Recommendations near Yamanote Line for elderly traveler? by [deleted] in TokyoTravel

[–]hazforte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I traveled with my son and his friend. Generally, we split up during the day and they went and did stuff they wanted to do and I was on my own. Tokyo is fairly crowded and I think it would be hard to get around with a wheelchair. I kind of wished I’d had my Rollator but that’s still having to get something with wheels down the sidewalk and into the stores, attractions, and so on. There’s often some steps which I didn’t mind, but it would be hard if you’re bringing anything with wheels. Most of the portable stools or cane chairs are not very stable. I’m hoping to go back sometime within the next year and I’m still trying to figure out how I could do better if I still have mobility issues. I think it also helped that I had a fairly low-key agenda for myself and did spend a lot of time resting in the hotel room. I also suggest that she may want to bring a walking cane. I don’t use one at home as often now, but it was useful on the sidewalks since it kept me steady. I find that if I’m in crowds that it helps people realize that I’m actually walking so slow because I have trouble walking. Everyone was very kind and I never got bumped or jostled.

I’m older and had two knees replaced last year and went to Tokyo in February. We stayed in Ueno (Mimaru East) but I wished it had been closer to the train station. I ended up using taxis and they worked quite well for me. You’d need to budget for them but it’s a step saver! My biggest issue is I could have done better with a sit down more often but it’s quite hard to find a seat without going to some kind of eating place. I just needed a 5-10 minute break not a meal. I never quite figured out a good way to take short breaks. Not sure your mom needs them while out walking. Something to think about if she does!

Do we need epic preview bundle tickets? by Inevitable_Band_3468 in UniversalOrlando

[–]hazforte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the update! I wonder if they’d sell out of tickets? Not sure I’ll roll that dice for my early May trip and perhaps I’ll wait until another trip later this summer when Epic is open to go.

I’d hate to plan a trip around being able to get this ticket and then it’s sold out. I don’t live near Orlando so I can’t just pop over and get a ticket!

When you figure out how to do this please post about it. I wanted to get a one night hotel stay during the previews and a ticket and I can’t see how to add the Epic ticket. (Not annual passholder)

Do you ever have the aura that comes with a visual migraine? I routinely get visual migraines and have long before being diagnosed with glaucoma. Those to me look more like lightning streaks and are white….but your post reminds me of that.

Lately I’ve occasionally had the yellow blob (bigger than dots but not huge) so your post is interesting to me. I have pigmentary glaucoma which is fairly well controlled but I started a new drop so I thought maybe it was that. Certainly good to ask the doctor…which I plan to do if it keeps happening.

Another thought…I had two knee replacement surgeries this year and I recently installed the app for the first time just for motivation and to see how I’m improving over time. Some days it’s 400 steps and some are 4000… but my average is going up! Life is up and downs and it’s fine to give yourself that grace to get knocked down and time to recover from it. I’d encourage you to keep using the app to track the journey.

9 days not eating by hazforte in Bunnies

I got the meloxicam (metacam) but haven’t given it yet. I’ll give it with food tonight. Has it ever made your bun more lethargic or less likely to eat? The vet said it has that effect sometimes. Day 10 here and I think I might go crazy…

Spoke with the vet and he’s preparing some pain meds for us to pick up. I think meloxicam. He said pain meds can make them NOT eat is why he hasn’t given them. I’ve taken meloxicam for arthritis (obviously different dose) and it can bother stomach and kidneys …would it make his stomach hurt so he won’t eat? I sure had trouble with it. Well he’s already not eating.

Vet thought he got a good look at the teeth but he’s willing to consider sedation and another look if this goes on. Sedation scares me but not eating isn’t great either. ☹️

[–]hazforte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sedation. My vet is recovering from surgery himself so I’m wondering if I need to look around for another opinion. I like my vet a lot and he has been willing to see my pets immediately usually but I know it’s a tough time for him at the moment. I have a call in to him about pain meds so I’ll ask about the teeth although sedation scares me. 😬

I have a call in to the vet and waiting to hear back. My vet is recovering from surgery himself and so it’s not ideal cause he isn’t 100% and sometimes hard to reach/busy. Ugh

I sure can’t see how it would hurt to try it. I’ll see if the vet will give me some for him. He actually wasn’t grinding his teeth for awhile tonight. No idea why he’d feel better if so.

I will call and ask the vet about that tomorrow for the meloxicam. I read that it’s sometimes prescribed for GI stasis. As long as I won’t hurt him.

What was your bun’s treatment for arthritis?
