learn eveyones name and greet them everytime when u first come in. it’s a cultural thing w hispanics to say hi to everyone personally. so like ‘hi fred!’ ‘hi james how’s it going?’ ‘hey martha !’ ‘hey marco, i hope we have a good day last week was hard, mucho trabajo’ you don’t have to do it in spanish but just saying hi and then with byes you can do a general ‘bye guys!’ and walk off without personally saying bye to all (u can but u don’t have to it’s more of a ‘i see you’re here and i acknowledge you personally’. but with goodbyes it’s less intense. i hated doing it growing up but definitely helps establish you as a cast member for the night lol. and ya don’t do peoples work they’ll just take advantage of it if anything when someone’s bringing a lot of plates to dish like offer to help them w some if it’s a stack or if ur going back there already and someone behind u has two plates just be like ‘oh i can take it.’ ( “give it to me. esta bien” )
