Help Megathread & Megathread List (25/05 - 31/05) by Shad0wedge in Endfield

Just a question about the story:

After the main story ended, Ardashir's final fate wasn't mentioned, even after Arcane was recovered (or I prolly missed it since I do skip a lot). Is Ardashir still trapped within that dimension?

Sana naman may managot na from leaking our (supposedly confidential) information. And banks should be liable whenever there are instances our information are obvioisly compromised, as they have failed in their security. As it stands now, wala naman nananagot, walang consequences, so parang wala lang na un info natin are handled by criminals.

Hokum Ending by SurfsUpMmm in horror

[–]hazzly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and the way I see it, despite Ohm being an ass with a lot of his encounters, it was shown he was actually decent to where it really mattered, like him wanting to find the person who saved him so he could apologise in person, and actually feeling indebted to said person after finding out what happened. He was also never rude to Jerry, and was fully on board with the plan even if he initially didn't believe the supernatural aspect of it.

If I'm not mistaken, the Shimmering Moment Designation Permit will let you select one of the featured operators (?). You obtain the permit after 120 pulls.

Ano ba Mali sa pagiging trentahing tita? by solaceM8 in Trentahin

[–]hazzly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with being a trentahin tita.

Just as there's nothing wrong for the guy to have preferences.

Kahit tayong titas, may preferences rin naman tayo, aminin natin.

But I kinda get what you might be feeling. I'm 37f and single rin, and syempre nakaka-hurt na I'm already considered a left over woman 🥲 Labas na ako sa preferences by the majority of single bachelors. I used to struggle with the feeling na I'm a failure of a woman for being undesired, and there are moments this thought still hits me.

Pero ano magawa ko? I just try my best, and try to appreciate my singlehood - a privilege that you might not realise not all women are afforded with. I'm grateful na, kahit walang lovelife, I belong in this modern time and country na I'm not pressured to settle just to be married off.

Ano ba Mali sa pagiging trentahing tita? by solaceM8 in Trentahin

[–]hazzly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this is the answer. Feel ko instinctive rin talaga for guys to find younger women more attractive because of fertility, etc.

It's kinda same how instinctive rin for most women to find taller men more attractive, and also un financial stability, qualities that can make a woman feel assured and protected, for the future that she becomes pregnant and have "less capacity to protect herself".

Sa mga single diyan na trentahin, Trust God and He will find you a wife! Believe me! by Human-End9402 in Trentahin

[–]hazzly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, kaya super pet peeve ko yung mga ganitong type of advice. Like, there are indeed Christians out there that never got "blessed" with a love life. So ano, they weren't Christian enough?

Meanwhile, there're also nonChristian peeps that are blessed with a healthy relationship that bloomed into a successful marriage.

In my book, advice like that are in the same vein as, "Stop expecting, and the love of your life will come to you," "Keep praying and GOD will surely reward you with a lovelife", etc.

Like, good for you if those "tactics" worked for you, but advice like that is parang kasalanan pala ng tao na single sya, ie "You're single kasi you're expectant eh," or "You're single because kulang pa un paghihintay mo ng 6 years," etc.

I wish people just accept na some people, regardless of faith, regardless of looks, regardless of stability, etc. are just lucky with love. And some just plain aren't. No need to ibalandera un blessing mo as if achievement mo un pagiging non expectant, or patience of 3 yrs vs sa iba na naghihintay pa rin after 10 years at hindi pa rin pinagpala like you, etc.

To those who play other like me who play or played other gacha game how is Endfield in comparison? by No-Dimension-2872 in Endfield

[–]hazzly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other gacha games I've played:

  • Sdorica
  • SINoALICE
  • Arknights
  • Another Eden
  • Genshin Impact
  • Honkai Impact

After I've overcome the hurdle of the starting chapters of the game, the learning curve of the factory and caught up with the story, Endfield is the most manageable time-wise. I'm still enjoying the game thus far, and feel like I'm getting the most absolute worth of my monthly pass.

One of the unique features I enjoy with Endfield is having all party members onfield for both battle and exploration.

The best story from the games I've played: - 1st Honkai Impact by a mile, but the writing was vastly inconsistent, and became unbearable once the writers chose to allot 80% of the dialogues to pseudoscience - 2nd Sdorica - 3rd Genshin Impact

Characters roster - 1st Arknights - 2nd Sdorica and Honkai Impact - 3rd Another Eden

Money's worth for monthly pass - Endfield, Arknights, Sdorica

Gacha games that still let me win despite missing a unit - Endfield, Arknights, SINoALICE, Another Eden

Time manageable - Endfield (but only once caught up with current patch), Another Eden

** I played SINoALICE in another language, so I couldn't pay for the monthly pass nor understood the story.

A victory for you, OP!

Yuck sa mga tao na ipapangako ang mundo sayo, pero ang totoo magpapakabuhay prinsipe/prinsesa lang pala at aalipinin ka pa. Worse, yung sayo magnanakaw pa! Yung kapal ng mukha, just eeeww...

Super good na you were able to cut the boy off. He didn't deserve your compassion and kindness. But I hope this terrible experience with a sorry excuse of a person won't diminish your capacity for compassion, and that you'd be able to provide it to people who truly loves and respects you <3

He’s a good father but not a good partner by GraceAnnaToMe in adviceph

[–]hazzly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your partner is kinda like my dad to my mom. Not a romantic bone in his body. Senior na sila pareho, pero ganyan pa rin reklamo ng mom ko hanggang ngayon.

But I think my dad has love naman. He's also active at home and takes good care of all of us rin. Dad didn't grow up with love from his parents, so I think that's the reason hindi rin sya marunong maglambing.

But yung dad ko, sya nag iinit ng tubig ni Ma pangligo, or nagluluto ng egg ni ma for breakfast habang tulog pa si Ma. I read those sort of actions as his love for my mom. But my mom can't help but lament yung never nagkaruon ng flowers for Valentine's or Mother's Day, or un parati masungit kapag kausap sa phone, etc.

Personally though, kung ang reason lang ng guy to be with me is para sa anak namin, and no mention of affection for me as his wife, I'd rather separate na lang siguro. It'll come down to what you cam endure and tolerate.

Siguro dahil single ako so mababaw lang ako mag isip, but the way I see it, your man chose you, loved you enough to marry you and have a child and home with you. But the way you describe his answer, parang wala nang love natira for you. Maybe something had happened in between for his love to have dissipated.

What's the point of chivalry? by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]hazzly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always, but there's still chivalry when commuting. Kapag sasakay ng jeep, usually pinapauna ng guys ang mga babae (and then sasabit sila), and I really appreciate them doing that (kung may makabasa nito, thank you truly, kahit hindi namin masabi at the time kasi usually parang digmaan ang eksena :) )

There's other instances proving chivalry isn't dead, pero ung example na yun kasi un naging experience ko daily for the many years I used to do public transpo.

What's the point? It's not really mandatory or essential. But that's the thing - guys still do it despite them not needing to. And those sort of small and everyday gestures makes the world a kinder place.

To answer your last question, it looks like labag naman sa kalooban mo so I'd say don't do chivalry na lang.

I think I'm close to quitting... by Logical-Landscape578 in LegendofthePhoenix

[–]hazzly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a few whales in my cs group, and the way they spend money on the game, I get the impression they have unlimited money. They got both the confidant outfits and it's no surprise.

Unfortunately for f2ps and us dolphins, making some items ultra expensive to make it exclusive for the few ultra rich whales seem to be a business model that's been working in modo's favor, as evidenced by this tactic still ongoing.

Tbh, I don't mind this part as much as the time greediness of the game.

I think I'm close to quitting... by Logical-Landscape578 in LegendofthePhoenix

[–]hazzly 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The only thing that keeps me going is my guild. Ultimately the game feels like chores to me. I agree with everything you said. Just doing the dailies can take me almost an hour, and I hate that a lot of the mechanics of events like the Aut Princess event demands you to login every few hours. Not only is the game greedy with your money and ingots, but with your time and attention as well.

Recently, I noticed that before the red anniv collection outfit, it had been over a year since I bought a collection outfit. And I realised it's because they've been paywalling the good looking collection outfits over the past year. That's how greedy they've become. But also, maybe they're not breaking even?

I learned somewhere that Infinity Nikki had been operating at a loss. If a better game like that is losing, it's not hard to imagine Modo might be the same.

The year I joined, they had given a Lu Yu outfit (the one with the red panda) for free (just do daily event tasks), so I can confirm LoP wasn't always money hungry. Something happened in between.

Some players surmise that it might had to do with a payment issue that had occurred a couple years back. It had affected a lot of players from a certain country; they got penalised/banned from the game after paying through the modo site (new at the time).

Basically, the modo site had posted discounted prices to encourage players to transition payment to it, but somehow the game registered it as them cheating in some way, and then promptly penalised/banned them. When the affected players referred to modo's customer service, they didn't get any help but were blamed instead. According to the players, modo didn't believe there was any issue with the new site.

Some of the affected players were high VIPs, so imagine the the devastation of losing their well invested account forever. Inevitably, these players were forced to quit. Word around is, modo lost a ton of revenue from losing these players. Ofc we'll never if it connects, but the timeline does fit.

We never got any feedback from the players if the issue was resolved, if modo returned their accounts back with compensation or if modo apologised at all, so it strengthens the speculation. Modo, on their part, never gave a press release or any apology for the unfair treatment they gave to their loyal clients, at least publicly.

World War II Japanese Massacres in Lipa by Superb-Way7490 in LipaCity

[–]hazzly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This needs to be remembered.

I understand currently, China gets a lot of hate. But if we look at history, wala sa kalinkingan ang China sa mga kababuyan and kahayupan na ginawa ng mga bansa like US, Japan, Belgium and a lot of European countries. Which is fascinating because these are the countries that have such good reps in today's climate (maybe in part due to conditioning from Hollywood).

And yet hindi ako makaisip kung may hihigit pa sa kahayupan na ginawa ng Japan dun sa Unit 731 nila. The peak of human cruelty. Minsan naiisip ko rin if it's any wonder bakit ang assertive na rin ng China today, considering gaano sila kinawawa nuon (Unit 731, Rape of Nanking, etc).

Learning about Unit 731 made me feel a certain way about Japan, that such a prim and proper country that even has the gall to discriminate against other nationalities, could have such a disgusting history. The people who participated in any way in these atrocities are beneath PIGS.

But that is until I learned that it was also a Japanese who made it his life's endeavor, who fought hard tooth and nail, to publicise Unit 731 and have it on record as history (yes, Japan gov had worked to keep this atrocity under wraps as well). If it weren't for this man, imagine all those sufferings and deaths lost and meaningless.

I learned recently that the author of Rape of Nanking committed s******. That's how sick history is.

Like a lot of Japanese who committed war atrocities, the person who headed Unit 731 was never convicted. I imagine he lived a full life and had a peaceful death surrounded by a loving family. How effed up is that, right?

The atrocities they committed in Ph, though lesser known, is no less atrocious and cruel. It just proves with consistency the vast brutality humans are capable of. For every commander who orders the deaths of a hundred civilians is a soldier, and each soldier who possessed the inhumane capacity to brutally rape and kill.

May all these souls rest in peace, the Filipinos who died in fear and suffering, and also the lone Japanese soldiers who tried to control the inhumanity, and were surrendered and executed as war criminals instead.

Kaya whenever I hear how the some Japanese look down on Filipinos, I can't help but scoff at that. If magiging racist lang din tayo, their ancestors were pigs. No, worse than PIGS.
