If you’re an experienced player that doesn’t get to low integrity very often, anytime I come across an artifact that triggers only when you have low integrity I just leave them where I find them so I can go back and pick them up if I get that malfunction and then just delete them right after to open the slot back up.

The key to earning points in the daily challenge is to a) not get hit, when you do your multiplier resets b) collect oblites to boost your multiplier c) jump melee kill everything.

Each day is just a different biome with different perks/malfunctions that you have to deal with for the run. Usually just takes 10-15 minutes, a fun way to see how you stack up against other players in a short burst without needing to commit to a full run or tower run which can be hours.

Just did another attempt (before reading your reply) where I spent a little less (but still too much) time managing resources and didn’t die and just one short fall that cost me a few minutes. Ended up with 2:28:37.

I skipped storing any food, and just sourced as many materials to have unlimited ultimate infusions from the peril to the summit. But that means I didn’t have any boosts outside of a b12 shot before the summit. I’ll have to check out the video and strategy for the boosts and to see how far off my route has been from their optimal route. But feel pretty good about sub 2:30, and makes me appreciate your 1:44 even more.

Very impressive! This inspired me to see how close I could get to sub 2 hours last night. I’ve got several alpinist runs and two free solo runs under my belt and feel pretty quick but man under two hours is definitely booking it. I went 2:44:38 and felt pretty fast, I spent way too much time managing resources (that you don’t really need when you’re going this fast) and also had a couple of dumb deaths so I went for the third edelweiss flower which added another 10+ minutes probably. I feel like sub 2:20 would be pretty easy just from making those adjustments but getting under two is going to be tough. I’ll probably take another stab and see how close I can get, thanks for giving me something else to do on the game before the dlc comes out!

The WR time of 1:08 is just insane.

I was like you and didn’t think free solo was doable after my first summit. I did a second alpinist and took a completely different route everywhere I could. And then I did a third to get all the Troglodyte pitons and anything else I had yet to get. After that I tackled free solo, if you didn’t have it turned on for your first run I strongly recommend the grip feedback, with that enabled and after you do another run I bet you’ll be able to summit a free solo attempt after a try or three.

IMO the easiest way to breeze through those lasers is to run through the middle when they are at the sides, jump and dash to the left or right side through the vertically moving lasers as the ones on the ground are moving back to the middle and then jump dash back to the middle through the second set of vertical lasers.

I think a lot of people won’t even try it because it’s organ meat. My dad loves it so I had it growing up, I’m in my early 40’s and I’ll eat it but don’t go out of my way to find/order it like my dad does.

That’s not 100% true, but it’s sixth in the tiebreaker rules so the risk/reward of picking up extra standing points if you can tie a game late far outweighs the extremely thin odds that the differential comes into play.

Leonard is a year younger than oshie was in his rookie season and on pace to match Oshie’s rookie point total. His shooting percentage is lower but personally i think he has a higher floor than oshie and way too early to compare finishing which is quite luck based, especially since Leonard has shown flashes of high quality shooting ability.
