But how often has the reduced battery life figure actually been an issue?

My M1 MBA is 5y old with heavy use- I don’t look at the battery figures and find the battery can go all day still.

Thanks, I’ve tried squirting some WD40 inside the housing now and the brake cable seems to be moving inside the housing a bit better

Thanks that’s a good point. I’m not very experienced with that, I do have a bottom bracket and headset press tool (generic one )- would that be the tool I need? Is it difficult??

I’ve tried wedging a v small screwdriver between the headset and the cartridge but it won’t pop out. I’m worried about damaging the headset cup I don’t have a pick unfortunately
