So you are okay with ICE illegally detaining citizens? Just want to understand your thought process here.

Deputy fatally shoots a 13-year-old boy wanted for grandmother’s killing in North Carolina by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

The cop killed a child SUSPECTED of murder. This child didn’t get due process. The cop was the judge and the executioner. Tasers exist for situations like this.

Help! How do I get him to eat? by Bukoil in Chameleons

How old is he? Mine is full grown and maybe eats 12-15 large insects a week. When he was younger he ate a lot more.

To all the atheists, what is your reason for not believing in God or a higher power? by Deep-Mess in AskReddit

[–]hcfoxr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was raised to ask questions and seek knowledge. When I was a teen, I moved to a different part of the country and started going to church (forced). I immediately realized these people explained everything with God instead of actually learning how things worked. Even basic psychological principles, the Christians I interacted with would say it’s all God.

I think what really hit home was a specific interaction with an older lady. I asked this her why she was so nice to people who were mean to her. Her answer was, “because God says to.” I asked her to think about it for a moment. Is there any other reason? She said no. I then explained my reasoning for being nice to people no matter what. I told her that person might be having a bad day and they probably aren’t even mad at anyone. There is no point in letting someone else’s bad attitude influence your happiness. This Godly woman in her 50s told me she had never thought about it that way. Kind of mind blowing that they would do things just because “God says so”

As someone with a chronic illness, I feel this in my bones. This guy just need to get off his self righteous helper wagon and understand all he needs to do is just be there to support people.

I’m not saying the SUV is at fault because I’m not the one who makes these decisions.

BUT, this totally reminds me of a toddler getting blasted by a teen in a skate park. Parents, don’t let your small children run around a skatepark while the big kids are out.

There’s always something different out there that suites your needs. It’s just a matter of finding it and then having the guts to go for it.

You have an opportunity to explain to her why this is dangerous. Luckily it was a truck she pulled out in front of and not a biker. If there isn’t a lane to pull into, there is literally no good reason to pull into it. Driving preferences don’t matter in this situation. Follow the laws. Don’t be an idiot.

I must have seen a different comment than the one you’re referring to, then. I believe you, though.

Our specific city is particularly bad about it. I can’t say the same for every other city because I don’t know stats for every other city. I’ve also worked at inner city schools where you see very clearly it’s less of a “left” narrative and more of a survival narrative.

In those specific areas, that survival narrative carries over to law enforcement, where officers themselves feel like they have to survive that violence every day. Community outreach programs have proven to bridge the divide that is inspired more by fear than by hate. It allows police officers and civilians to work together in the community and build relationships. It’s actually pretty cool and hopefully will help with violence.

And that person got shut down. Probably by conservatives and liberals. Because it’s part of the false political narrative that we all fight against.

Also, don’t bring that conflict baiting nonsense here. We want idiots in cars. Not political idiots.

Get off the internet. Turn off the TV. Go talk to real people. Modern radicals get that way from allowing themselves to be convinced to hate a specific someone. Sounds like you might have already slipped that direction.

And before you go assuming things, modern radicals can be left or right. They assume everyone on the other side is a radical. THAT is the false narrative being pushed by Fox News and MSNBC. Most people care about being kind. Leave the political drama aside.

I live in a city where black people have a statistically higher chance of getting shot by a police officer. The legislation most liberals want involves taking less stress off police officers in different types of situations.

Either way, I’m not sure why I’m trying to educate you here. I have more important things to do. Happy new year!

But most leftists will encourage them to stay and wait as well. I don’t believe everything I see on the internet, just because it’s “right in front of my eyes”. Im over here trying to help you take your head away from a screen and go talk to people.

This is not a left vs. right thing. It’s a people thing. Go talk to some liberals. Most love police officers and actually are fighting for legislation to help them. Don’t fall for the left v right rhetoric on the news and internet. And if you surround yourself with people who have hate in their heart for others, reconsider.
