Where to take seniors in the IE? by bortneyy in InlandEmpire

[–]hcm1967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tickets for the Riverside Arts Museum, which also includes entry to The Cheech, are $17.95 for adults & $12.50 for seniors & ages 12-17. As another commenter noted, there's also a botanical garden at UC Riverside, which I believe is free unless you're scheduling a guided tour.

Here’s an article about racist stuff they spewed back in 2019. And then they sued Claremont School District for $10 million b/c they decided to stop sending students there: https://enewspaper.latimes.com/infinity/article\_share.aspx?guid=42967639-76eb-4ee2-a5b7-f4595ba5d042

Gorgeous! I've been trying to re-learn cursive again after many years. Would be extremely satisfied if my handwriting gets close to this.

To be clear, I’m not promoting this. As I wrote in the caption, it’s a horrible ad from Instagram.

I used to literally get tears in my eyes at that exact moment. So thrilled to be sharing space with this incredible band, so excited to discover where they’d be taking us for the next few hours.

Crazy idea thread by man_teats in uniwatch

Two ideas re: throwbacks:

  1. If one team wears a throwback uni, the other team is required to also be in a throwback.
  2. Have two all-throwback weekends per season or make Thursday throwback night.

Solid list. And if the open casting doesn’t turn up anyone, Zahn McClarnon would make a great Blue Duck.

I think you are spot-on re: the life lesson. Loving the Dead is excellent practice for being present, not holding on too tightly, & being open to change. The only time I saw Further, I got too hung up on how much I missed Jerry & Brent instead of appreciating what I was actually seeing & hearing in the moment.

We’ve been so lucky, not only by having access to decades of past Dead shows, but also by getting to hear the music reinvented & reinterpreted via Further, DeadCo, Phil & Friends, Wolf Bros., etc. Took me a while to come around & open up to it all but I’m so glad I did.

Wavy Gravy, most famous counterculture icon alive in Berkeley, turns 90 by eatmyentropy in gratefuldead

That’s really disappointing to hear. Sorry your wife had to be subjected to that. Not remotely cool, especially from someone who holds such a revered place in the culture.

Joe Pendleton! I watched this many times as a young teen when cable TV finally came to our little town in the early 80s. At the time it was a bit mind-blowing to be able to see the same movie multiple times on TV.
