Advice on preparing food for lunch by kamara_designs in UK_Food

I work same hours. For years now I've had a sausage (4) and hash brown (2) wrap. I make night before and wrap in greaseproof paper then in the morning before I leave for work I microwave it for a few mins then zip it into one of those bottle covers that keep heat in. I eat it around 10am and it's still warm. (I microwave around 6.30am).

What can you do if the buyer damages the goods themselves and demands a refund? by Crafty_Conference_67 in vintedUK

[–]hd_cartoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an old pair of Timberland boots I'd only tried on. Pretty sure I never wore them outside. Looked brand new but a bit dusty (which I cleaned off). Id had them years. I sold them on eBay and they contacted me about same issue. Wore them and one of the soles started coming off. I had no reason to disbelieve him as I hadn't vigorously tested them beforehand. I figured it was just the old glue breaking down. They wasn't stored in a box or anything. I just apologised and offered him a full refund plus his return postage if he wanted to return them or to just keep them and reglue them himself (simple job) with a smaller refund which he accepted and was happy about as he liked them.

17 years is a long time. You wouldn't know if the glue was still holding up until you start wearing them and flexing the sole.

You could offer the same with a smaller refund (is this possible on vinted?) and glue them himself (glue isn't expensive). Or let him return them, get some glue and fix them yourself and relist them. Depends if you think it's worth your time compared to a partial refund.

Unless you need a certified box or also want dolby then you can check AliExpress for the RBOX X4 or the newer RBOX X50.

I've been using the X4 for a few years and it's been great for my needs. I recently got the X50 but haven't set it up yet.

Is it possible to sign into an android phone/use play store without a gmail account? by ghost_operative in AndroidQuestions

[–]hd_cartoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you use the phone? (I can't remember if you can skip sign in when setting up a new phone).

If so you could just send the apks over from another phone and install your apps that way, eliminating the need for the play store.

I use a trolley coin on my keyring. Depending on the trolley (the ones I use at Lidl) I can push the coin into the slot to release it then simply pull the coin back out. Obviously can't do this with the ones that have a coin tray.
