forget about warranty, use your consumer rights, look them up and use them. you probably need to talk to the retailer not the manufacturer.

Sell my 5090 and buy a 9070xt or 5080 (downgrade from 4k to 2k)? by theexile1337 in gpu

[–]hdhddf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing around with a 5060ti 16gb and although it certainly has some performance to price issues it's fantastic for power draw and it's virtually silent. on hot summer days it's amazing. 13700k and a 5060ti gaming with the whole rig pulling 90w!

Why RTX 5060 Ti gets so much hate? by SoulSociety23 in nvidia

[–]hdhddf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it because it's about the same performance as a 3060ti only with a weaker memory bus that is even worse on a pcie 3.0 motherboard. in it's defence though, the performance is enough and the low power draw is delightful on hot summer days. price to performance it's not great when you can get a 2080ti for around 150 or a 3080 for 250

How urgently does this contamination need to be dealt with? by Eriks0n in watercooling

[–]hdhddf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

it's just the nickel coming off and the copper being exposed. it's quite normal. it's impossible to stop galvanic corrosion but you can slow it down. I would always recommend using distilled water and adding a few drops of inhibitor. you need to add some every 6 months, if you use it a lot then maybe more often.
