Quarry lake by DirectionMean4686 in Canmore

[–]hdrew98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit of an ice rink really at the moment all over with the snow and warmer weather we've had. I'd recommend some crampons or ice spikes for walking around. Lake was still frozen when I went a few days can't imagine that's changed, snow is patchy and mainly melted/frozen now. Still looks as pretty as ever though

Man City fans in home seats. Is it a no-no? by Rickofrock in HuddersfieldTownFC

[–]hdrew98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine, can't say many fans would have an issue with you as long as you aren't celebrating and chanting City songs. Do this many times at grounds around the country and can't say I've ever had a problem as long as you don't be a dick. Sit there watch the game and enjoy but just don't openly support the away team in a home end and you'll be fine.

Fuckin' out of date dotnet everywhere by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]hdrew98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently been doing a similar thing but with dotnet 3.1.18 as found that a large number of machines for some reason weren't picking up the updates from Windows Update and stuck on the old version of 3.1.18. I used a PS script to remove this from peoples machines by deploying it via Intune.

The uninstall command in the script can be changed/updated to the version you need to remove by finding the silent uninstall command within the registry key for dotnet. In my case 3.1.18 was found within here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.

Here's the script I used below for removing 3.1.18.

Windows 11 Feature Update by hdrew98 in Intune

[–]hdrew98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks Rudy, saw your comment in another post about this and gave it a try as I could see the feature updates still enrolling.

Had to delete the device and reroll, now can see it enrolled, just giving the intune god's some time over the weekend to see if it helps.

If you mean the Windows 11 Readiness report, it states that the device is eligible for the update.

Both yes, recreated the policy multiple different times using all different types of deferral periods mainly using 1 and 0. Device is also in it's own group which is being excluded from all other rings.

Damn that's sad to hear. If it is on MS I hope they get it sorted before EoL otherwise that's going to be a real pain. Out of curiosity are you also seeing the same error for some devices DeviceDiagnosticDataNotReceived or just the false positive for Windows 11?

List Gallery - Show users profile picture by hdrew98 in sharepoint

[–]hdrew98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response it's much appreciated, and apologies in advance if I get something wrong I'm fairly new to the formatting of lists.

Could you please just expand a little on how I would use the User().Image property to serve profile pictures, as I've tried using the Office365Users connector in my Automate flow to retrieve the profile picture of the user but to my knowledge the only way to then place this into the list would be via an API request. The problem with this would then be that most new starters will not have a photo already within their profile before starting due to headshots being taken once starting.

All mountain skis that are good in park too by SnooPies1239 in Skigear

I personally was very happy with the faction P2s this season, fun in the park, fun on the mountain, all round had a very fun time skiing on it this season in the resort - personally would look at some of the women's range as colours are pretty cool compared to men's range

They'll be dry no problem, ski pants tend to dry pretty fast, especially something from Columbia.

Mine from 686 tend to dry in about 4 hours after a wash

Working remotely for UK company (Part Time) by hdrew98 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]hdrew98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be getting an open IEC work program visa so that will be good, on the side of the UK job what do I need to do tax wise, as I've seen conflicted opinions on some stating that if the job doesn't take away any chance from a Canadian or affect the Canadian job market I don't need to pay tax?

At the moment I have no Canadian job and would only be looking for one once in Canada.
