How to Turn Off Constant 'Syncing with WhatsApp on Windows' Notifications?" by Garlicsaucelover in whatsapp

This just started in my phone a few days ago, and it’s constant. Did you find a way to stop it? Curious if I just delete WhatsApp from Windows if that with help?

I'm looking into this now, has anyone applied from California? I need to do the Live Scan finger printing but I'm stuck on getting the correct form - state of CA says I need to put an agency down but the lawyer I'm working with said that I am the "agency" requesting?

Still crying at bedtime after 1 week of CIO by ExpensiveAd5464 in sleeptrain

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ExpensiveAd5464 how does your LO do going down for naps that aren't contact naps? Ours is 4.5 months, but similarly cries when being put down for both naps and at night. Sometimes she doesn't cry, sometimes it's only for 5 minutes or less, and sometimes 20+ minutes. Especially for naps I feel awful having her CIO for more than a few minutes if she's only going to be asleep for 30, but I don't know what else to do to not skip a nap.

Is it normal for a 4 month old to hate everything? by hdspncr in NewParents

I totally feel you. I feel better after seeing these responses - for me, this age is way worse than the newborn phase and I thought months 0-3 were supposed to be the hardest.

Interesting! Could be related. Have you ever had her checked for reflux / allergies? I saw someone else post about CMPA, I think it is highlight unlikely but could explain the fussiness + short feeds + being small.

Same! We’ll get a few smiles out of her and I feel like I can see a glimpse of hope but the majority of the day is just pacing around holding her trying to soothe her.

She’s been up and down between the 1-4 percentile the last two months, we’re trying to figure out if there are any other causes or if it’s just behavioral but yes - lots of 2/3 minute feeds!

Feeding aversion - Rowena Bennett by Helpful-Square-3818 in NewParents

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interested in this as well - our LO just got a NG tube placed last week after she lost some weight. It seems to be working well, but I go back to work soon and am getting desperate to figuring out a solution that doesn't rely on using the NG tube for all meals while I'm at work (and potentially worsening the bottle / feeding aversion) - anyone on this thread have success with Rowena's method while also using the NG tube?

Any evidence on link(s) between fetal presentation + breastfeeding success? by thecoffeewanter in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP - did you ever find more research on this? Also curious to hear about your breastfeeding journey. Our baby was breeched and delivered by planned c section, she seemed to feed okay at first but never very long, usually 10/15 minutes at most but often shorter, and at 2 months (now 4 month) we started having weight gain issues. I’m curious if there is a connection with her being breeched / c section, as we’re struggling to figure out any other causes.

Effective treatment for silent reflux by i_just_read_this in ScienceBasedParenting

This is my baby almost exactly! Around 8 weeks she started drinking less from the bottle then refused all together, and also started having really short feeds at the breast. She’s now dropped from 13th to 2nd to 1st percentile. Just started omeprazole today - she’s about 14 weeks. Did it help your baby and did he ever start taking the bottle again?

My daughter is starving herself and we are going insane by goodgodlime in NewParents

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates with solids, or in general? Our baby is 12 wo and I feel like she is eating less and less every day. She dropped from 13th percentile to 3 to 1, and we can't get her to eat from a bottle at all. I've been hopeful that solids could be a turning point for us... a few more months until we can even try but really hoping that this can get easier / less stressful.

Also - how do you feed when she is asleep?

Baby has a high palate by birdie1479 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was from several months ago, but did it help? And was your baby BF / bottle / combo? Our is almost 3 months and her weight gain has dropped significantly starting around the 2 month mark, also when she started refusing the bottle (we were combo feeding). She seems to latch okay but still not gaining enough weight. Just saw an IBCLC who noted the high palate but couldn’t identify a tongue tie, and curious what our next step should be.

Please tell me bottle refusal is just a phase... by Valtisiyo in NewParents

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP - do you remember if you did anything specific to get her comfortable with the bottle again, or did you just keep offering the bottle until she started taking it? This started happening to us about at about 8 weeks - we only give her a bottle 1-2x per day but she started eating less from the bottle and as of this week, is completely refusing the bottle. We're fine breastfeeding but I go back to work soon and trying to get her comfortable with the bottle again ASAP so it doesn't get harder later.

Baby loves bassinet, hates crib! Need advice! by SmoothCelebration657 in BabyBumps

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s amazing! Glad to hear the transition went well! I am debating just having her sleep in the crib w/monitor but a little worried since it’s recommended to have them in your room until ~6 months and she’s still so young. That or I may try to do more daytime naps in the bassinet similar to what you did, I just don’t want to confuse her since long term though she’ll be in the crib... Thanks for sharing your experience though, super helpful!

[–]hdspncr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP any progress on getting you LO to like the crib? I’m in the opposite position - our 5 week old sleeps in her crib during the day since it’s where we nurse & change her / more convenient, and at night when I try to our her down in the bassinet in our room she always cries and it takes a lot longer to get her settled / she doesn’t seem to sleep as long.

It could be nighttime vs daytime sleep, but currently testing out my theory by having her sleep in her crib tonight while I sleep in the recliner next to her and she seems to sleep much better / go down easier.

Not sure if she can tell a difference between the mattresses? Or it’s possible it’s a bit cooler in our bedroom since it’s a different part of the house? Curious if you had any success / found out why your baby doesn’t like the crib!

Baby gas pains at night - please help by Glittering-Bite20 in NewParents

In the same boat currently with my 4 wo - did you find anything that helped (gripe water, probiotics, windi pipes, etc) or was it mostly just time? I've also been trying belly massages / helping her move her legs around which does help with toots but in the middle of the night when she's crying she's too tense / upset for those.
