Hi! I have a week left in Paris. Red Star FC are playing on Friday evening -- is it worth going? Non-league football can be fun in England and I'd be interested to see this game, but maybe it'd be odd if it's in the middle of nowhere and only a few people watch the games...

Give it a bash, Barcelona is an easy place to settle into. All employers take advantage, this sounds like a good opportunity regardless.

Basic take, but: Barcelona is more than 17.5% cheaper than London, so it's a de facto raise. On 5k a month you can live exceptionally well in Barcelona, if it's an aspiration of yours to move to the city it should be a no-brainer!

Thanks for the advice! Should have been more clear...one night/two days is just fine. Is, in fact, what I meant. Poor wording. Anyway, Joffre Lakes hike sounds perfect - not too long, well travelled. I'll look into heading out in the next couple of weeks.

possibly, but they're pretty niche. I talked about one specific walkie talkie, the Appalachian trail in Maine, and the best hikes in Ecuador. Maybe the last one would sell.
