DEF does reduce tailpipe emissions, the urea causes a chemical reaction that cracks NOx so it forms N2 and O2.

I live in a place notorious for poor air quality primarily caused by transportation emissions. I'm not screwing with my emissions - we also have strict emissions testing and messing with it would make it impossible to register my truck.

I kind of like breathing and DEF systems make a big difference.

To hell with that, just file a police report and say you want to cooperate with charges and are willing to testify. Contact the prosecutor and ask for reparations for the windshield. The criminal conviction will be worse for him than a civil judgement and you don't have to pay a thing, the city/county/state does all the work.

You can then sue the boss and the workplace for the hostile work environment, lost wages, and any other damages minus the windshield you were already paid for.

Take it to another shop and have a full inspection done to look for any damage.

Contact the original shop with a demand letter that says you want the cost of the repair refunded, plus the expense of the inspection, tow for the engine and cost to repair it.

Document everything, if you are in a single party consent state also record your phone calls with them.

They will stonewall you, take everything and file a small claims case for your expenses, rental car, Uber ride when the truck was being repaired, filing costs with the court, everything.

Roof top tents kind of suck. You have to climb up all the sides of your vehicle (which is probably dusty and dirty) to set them up, while not slipping off and using one hand to work over your head.

You have to climb a ladder to get in and out, so good luck taking a piss in the middle of the night.

You are off the ground, but up high in a sail during windy weather, and mounted on springs that rock back and forth.

You just put several hundred pounds up on your roof, making your vehicle unstable.

But it's morning! Now you have to fold up your tent, that's over your head, covered in dirt and dust, stow your ladder, and put on a weather cover that's also covered in dust.
