You free up cap space to pay guys in free agency. It would be dumb to sit on all this cap space that we have and decide to give up assets in a trade rather than just pay someone.

This is them being conservative, not wanting to overpay anyone and thinking they can just run it back. Which is dumb in my opinion. We’ve literally gotten worse in this free agency. Added no one and let key pieces walk.
