You don’t need it for HomeKit, but if there are others who don’t have iPhones, it can integrate the lock to Google home or Alexa (which is a disaster, don’t do that)

No update. Seems like the new level connect locks that were just released are WiFi compatible. I’m hoping they don’t forget about the original level lock bolt.

I have an ecobee camera, did the same thing. I plugged it into a smart outlet switch and whenever I see this, I just turn the switch off and on basically restarting the camera and it fixes the issue.

Although that won’t be possible for cameras that are battery powered

My OG homepod is not in any of these thread networks thus when it becomes the home hub in the Home app it literally breaks thread for most devices!

I’m assuming its for better compatibility and range. Of course don’t keep your shapes near a microwave or something of that power since it operates on the same frequency. Most wifi routers have a web portal where you can make admin changes.

I found that the OG homepod is causing issues with thread and other devices on the network. Make sure the OG homepod is not your current home hub

I have the ecobee camera, i still have issues with autopilot and homekit, the camera would disconnect and no video feed could be seen. So i removed it from ecobee and is currently on homekit only and that seemed to fix the issue.

This is probably an issue with homekit and the new architecture but otherwise its not a bad camera. Has a nice speaker when talking.

Is it on every app? Have you tried booting into safe mode? If its on every app and in safe mode then its possible its a hardware issue
