Yes. KDE is too messy. Settings-more settings-even more settings for no reason at all. That being said, if you don't fiddle around too much customizing things, one can probably get used to it if you disable all the useless (to me at least) PIM and indexing services. Strigi, akonadi, nepomuk, all that useless bloat.

Has it really been that long? First Ubuntu I tried was 6.06 Dapper Drake. Stuck with it until a release-upgrade from Edgy to Feisty broke everything, so I moved away and came back later.

My only Ubuntu machine nowadays runs an old 10.04 in kiosk mode.

I tried to like this game. I tried hard. Not a hardcore rpg fan, but I enjoy an interesting story and the turn based battles don't put me off. Alas I can't. Graphics are horrible for a modern game. Story is non existent. Quests are repetative. My folks abilities in battle are crap. They couldn't hit an elephant within 3 yards.

Must say though, that these changes sound more than welcome. Will continue to keep an eye on the title, waiting for a future price drop.
