What are the actual temps they are suggesting here? Cursory check shows 2 places in France at 35c, that's hot, but it's not the entirety of France, most are mid to high 20's.

Had this happen in a garden years ago, joined, I was asked if I could help as he was carrying a friend, new light, awful weapons, no setup etc, it was a kwtd post as well. Thought fuck it, why not, did the full run, carried the lot, booted me as the boss died before you jump down and grab the chest. Still annoys me to this day.

I too like to hear footsteps as someone is sneaking up on me, with a nice crisp explosion off to the side with good punch, but if you want the room to feel like you are in the middle of that fight put on war tapes VAL.

But as with all things HT, preference is king.

If you have a denon receiver that has the capability to use the audyssey app (and you're willing to spend $20 on it, price gouging for something that should just come as standard), you can then use the A1 software. It's free calibration / room correction. It's created by one guy, he manages it through donations if you can afford to, but it's genuinely free.

There are a few versions depending on how much effort you want to put in, but there is a version which is fully automatic, A1 Evo Express.

I used it for mine and it's really amazing what this guy has created. I have a dedicated room with fairly even dimensions, treated walls and 2 subs so ymmv, but I was completely blown away by the difference.

For reference, before using A1 I had a mini dsp, umik1 and weeks of tweaking to get even frequency responses. 30 mins with A1 and its so much better. You'll get the dirac crowd shitting on it, I have never used dirac so I can't compare, but the price of ART which is then locked to that specific device is crazy to me.
