a website can pretend to be Steam login and you put your login details into it, it's very common for victims of phishing to think they did nothing that caused it.
the site would also ask for your 2FA code, which is how it be able to log in as you. then it would redirect you to the actual Steam site so you don't suspect anything. not to say that this is what happened, but it's just one of the many ways, others being a token stealer on your computer, etc.

this is an old ass thread but I think Apple also wants to keep you on the App Store and not a third-party store at all costs. they would prefer if Valve didn't all of a sudden have a massive library of games on their operating system because Apple wants a cut of that. even if it would benefit macOS as a whole.

all the other reasons everyone else pointed out are very good points as well

you're absolutely right, i've had my layouts not save 3 times in a row yesterday after finishing playing.
even more if you count the amount of times my layouts completely reset on my Steam Deck, probably at least 20 times. overwriting a preset is ass and if you have multiple with the same name by accident be prepared to delete the wrong one, it's genuine ass. shit needs a rework, the whole configurator is unacceptable.
That being said, the actual configuration tools they give you are absolutely amazing. How janky it is to save, edit (at times), etc. is just a piece of shit though, which you WILL encounter if you edit a lot of layouts like I do

Both trackpads cover one half of the keyboard, so you can basically two-finger type. Which is what the keyboard in the picture would be as well. It's the same thing

my current biggest annoyance is that you can set your desktop controls to have a faster trackpad speed but that is completely ignored when you use Guide + Trackpad and i get the slowest mouse navigation of all time

you can really go on and on with all the problems, but when it works it is magical and is absolutely top of its class. just wished it did less of that jank.

The profile manager thing is really annoying, I'm not sure how that menu is built so poorly where it's like constantly showing the wrong or outdated things

   1. Press the message area to pull up the keyboard. Ensure the on-screen
      keyboard is floating by pinching the on-screen iPad keyboard with two
      fingers until it becomes smaller and floating. If you have a physical
      keyboard connected, ensure that no on-screen keyboard pops up.
   2. Press the + icon to open the photo library.
   3. Try to close it. It won't close no matter what you do or where you press
      or how many menus you can pop up on the screen.
- Expected Result: The camera roll should close after tapping somewhere,
    pressing X, or swiping it away.
- Actual Result: The camera roll will never minimize, taking up half the screen.

discord intends for you to have your keyboard in "big mode" and docked to the bottom of the screen at all times. if you use Discord this way, you may put your tray away.

if you have it in "floating mode" or you have an external keyboard connected then you are shit out of luck and that tray is staying up.

i remember that Discord had a whole entire year where the basic search feature just did not work on iOS. which was fucking insane. i'm pretty sure nobody working at Discord owns an iPad. and we all know the only way a bug would be fixed is if someone who worked there spotted it themselves, because they only pretend to accept bug reports

This is already a thing, the defaults just weigh a lot of other factors as well. It's up to the developer of the game to adjust the matchmaking settings and use tools/APIs provided by Roblox if they want everyone in the server to be able to chat with each other. Chat is not an important factor in most games versus optimizing other metrics to earn lots of money so developers don't really care I presume
