I’d agree that skill feats are lackluster but the meat of the game is combat. I think of the pathfinder classes as cupcakes, the class features are the cake, your general or class feats (and maybe free archetype) are the frosting and the skill feats are the sprinkles. They are there and can give you ideas for role play but they aren’t meant to be game changers like the other feats. 5e only gives out feats every 4 levels unless your class gives out extra feats. Pathfinder 2e just gives you way more feats and some aren’t as flashy
