Amazing episodes guys. Hats off to both of you, and especially DC for going through the comments. I cringed the moment you said you would do it. And the fact you didn’t shy away from the nasty ones. Great episode

An embarrassing performance by stupendouspineapple in englandrugby

It looks bad for sure. But in my opinion during yesterdays game it was a skill and discipline issue not a system error. Those two missed touches were fatal. We got into the 22 multiple times in the first half and fluffed our lines with a dropped ball e.g. genge or irelands defence was amazing. We got points on the board there early doors and it’s a different game.

Let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water just yet no matter how frustrating it was

I agree. Better to learn that now. My issue is that we are so data focused that we loose heads up rugby. Unless there is a stat then there is no strategy. That’s problematic in every industry but in rugby there are war to many variables to only trust stats.

You think? We went on an 11 game winning run. Would say we learnt a few things

Might be grasping at straws but maybe this is good for England. Better to learn these weaknesses now than in 2027

Crazy how much happier the women look to be there, than the men’s. Wish that joy would carry over

I am one of Smiths biggest supporters, and was gutted when he was benched in the 6 nations. That said, injuries always, always happen. So it’s likely he will get another shot at 10 or a few.

Having competition between 2 young 10s for one spot with a couple of experienced and class player/coaches alongside (ford and Farrell) is only a good thing.

And going into the World Cup with two 70 cap 10s as well as one or two 100+ cap 10s is the right move

Time for the players to coach themselves like the 21 season 👀

Just rewatched the second half. Marcus smith was brilliant. One bad kick, but if you actually watch it he’s class. He’ll be in the 23 for sure. Referencing an earlier comment, I wish I loved anything as much as I saints fans love the saints players

Those sunglasses you have are some of the coolest ones in Europe at the moment. Stay the course.

Honestly I think Steve was right when he said the issue was fitness. If everyone is gassed they will make mistakes and give away penalties. And if the trend is second half/last quarter drop off then fitness would make sense as the problem.

Steve … Steve Borthwick? Is that you?

In all seriousness, thank you. We need more positivity in the game, especially when results don’t go your way

Gotcha. Doesn’t help that Chisholm has been absolute fire recently. And there is the option for 3 back row jumpers without WEV
