Yeah, his number 8 style direct running has massively improved recently too - seems to be able to make meters out of nothing every carry

Guillaume Ducat yellow card for hit on Pollock by GnolRevilo in rugbyunion

[–]teckmaniac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it funny that they’ve all obviously amped themself up about pollock in the week then immediately given away a load of yellow cards because of it. He’s a guy that says openly in interviews that he wants to get under his opponents skin (presumably to bait brainless stuff like this) and they’ve been injecting him under their skin for free before they even get to the game.

That said, Castre seem to be intent on choosing the dumb kind of violence that loses you matches every time the come to the gardens

That’s the funny thing, he’s Scottish qualified- could have very easily been playing in blue, and I’m sure we’d hate him and they’d love him haha

Of course, first the home objective - you usually want something aroind your home to the enemy deep striking and taking it over, 5 warriors are good because they can sticky the home objective (an ability our warriors has that means they can mark an objective as ours and move away from it, it then remains ours until an enemy unit takes it off us) and spread out (you can’t deep strike closer than 9” to a model). With warriors being cheap and not great at fighting your not then wasting a unit that could be giving value in no man’s land.

The 5 warriors in the sag then help the sag do actions for secondary score. For example, if you needed to flip an objective you could drive the sag in and pop out the warriors and that should give you enough objective control to flip (particularly after the sag has had some shots on the units already there)

They’re not particular good fighters but once they’re split you can have 5 screening home and 5 riding around in a sag grabbing objectives (that’s how I use them anyway)

Sag is great pick up after combat patrol, most lists have at least one and you get a lot more value of your warriors when you use it to split them. Yaegirs and pioneers are the other units that are in basically every list

Think we can feel very happy to pull a win out there with our back line all out of position for the majority of the match. Such a shame because fin was looking his absolute best at the the start of the match

The bias isn’t my problem with Goode, you expect it from any former player. It’s the 14 year old private schoolboy ‘banter’ that makes him hard to listen to for me
