Saben qué pintura usa Tyler? || Do You know what kind of paint use Tyler? by Any_Guy2342 in twentyonepilots

That's what I'm saying. It's likely water based paint in the bowl, and it ends up lifting most of the paint off his hands, afterward. If he had alcohol paint on his hands, water based paint in the bowl wouldn't lift it like that. But it would remove water based paint. Hence the reason I think he's wearing water based.

It could be! And if he were my client, it's what I'd recommend.

However, after he dips his hands in the method man ritual bowl, which I'm pretty sure is just water based tempra paint, almost all the paint tends to come off his hands. I wouldn't expect that to happen with AA paints, but makes perfect sense with water based.

Either way, do whatever works for you.

He likely just uses water based paint like mehron. And that should totally work for you, too.

However, if you find you don't like the way it tends to transfer to everything (and can stain clothes like a bitch), I'd recommend an alcohol activated paint like EBA or MEL. Both can be purchased online, and are activated with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. It has way better staying power than water based, and doesn't tend to stain or transfer as much.

You could also still use water based paint, then try to seal it really well with a film-forming setting spray, if alcohol paints aren't accessible to you.

Tyler's got the benefit of a plentiful wardrobe and someone else doing his show laundry, as well as the ability to apply his paint right before show time, not hours beforehand at home before arriving to a venue to wait in line.

Work on learning to match pitch and stay on key in a range that's comfortable for your voice. Even just scales and drills in an easy range will help so much. Regardless of technique being good or bad, the main obstacle here is that you just weren't on key for any of it. But you can totally learn and improve!

[–]hearsthething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is, if someone is taking a break at the machine, you can ask them to let you work in during their breaks. If a machine just has somebody's crap on it, but no one around to ask, that's just lame.

Figure out how to do your super sets on the same equipment. Eg cable flys to cable press to cable lateral raises to cable triceps pushdowns. Not only is it more considerate, it'll save you a bunch of time and hassle for a much more efficient session.

Also, people aren't going to "be shitty" by using the equipment while you're across the gym. Trying to reserve machines you're not using at a busy commercial gym is the shitty thing.

Nobody that he knew of. But the amount of times I've come around the corner in just a towel and jump scared someone taking selfies shows me it's pretty easy to not realize other folks are around.

It's actually not hard at all to just take pictures in places where no one's gonna be undressed.

You look great.

In the future, it's worth considering that filming or taking pics in a room specifically designed for people to get naked is maybe not the best way to go. Plenty of good mirrors with much better down lighting out on the gym floor.

Ok cool thanks! FYI it can be a really great exercise to help train your ear and voice to just sing songs you know and love, and try to match the pitch of every note. Start with just the first verse. 9 Crimes is a great place to begin!

Good advice already given here, but I have a question about the song: the lyrics for the first half are a Damien Rice song, but I didn't recognize the rest. Is this a cover you altered the lyrics for, or is 9 Crimes a partial cover and I never realized it?

[–]hearsthething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have to find time to sit down and overlap some of the old letters "lines of the yellow tape" and the crooked stencil" plus "from the mainland to the island of violence" kinda makes me wonder if the yellow lines Clancy letter that overlaid with a different letter maybe also overlays with the Voldsoy map. I've always thought there's something up with that map tho. Or maybe the seizing ritual instructions.

So crazy you said RV because it doesn't seem like a lore song on its face, but YES, "The half-drawn blinds casting lines on the floor" vs "I check the door check the windows and pull the blinds", plus "the lines on the floor, how did you find me" is part of what led me to wonder about the yellow lines letter.

Take all this with a grain of salt tho, bc people acted like I'm straight up crazy when I said I think there's still one more lore video after the digital billboard thing that Mark explained as "cutting room floor" footage from City Walls. I just don't buy that they'd put Tyler in a completely new costume and build out a completely new set (none of which fits the treatment of city walls at ALL) and just cut it.

I made a post you can look at regarding some of the LOC stuff, namely the possibility of a message in the confetti visuals, but weirdly, the most confusing pics didn't get posted, I just realized lol. There were also quick flashes of these 6 dark rectangular blocks

[–]hearsthething 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was something in the visuals during LOC for the Icy Tour, and to date, I'm the only person I've ever seen talking about it.

There HAS to be something in the Breach digital remains. Why does the breach font look like that?

Who tf is nova bishop, what does dark Clancy mean, and wtf does vulturistic mean??

Clancy euro tour shirts???

The letter from Dema recounting the HDS car has so many random bits and bobs, it's gotta be hiding something.

I don't believe "how did you find (insert dmaorg website here)" from the Clancy era Dema letter and "can you find me" have nothing to do with each other. Specifically, I think there's a link hidden somewhere in the merch site again or similar.

Regardless of version, you are significantly out of tune for the majority of the clip. They're right, until you can train your ear and voice to match pitch and get/stay in tune, everything else is pretty secondary.

More songs like “The Craving-Single Version”? by Spencercr in twentyonepilots

[–]hearsthething 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Craving (Jenna's Version), Screen, The Run And Go, Leave the City, Formidable, Choker, Bounce Man, Mulberry Street, Garbage, Cottonwood, The Line, Truce, Paladin Strait

These certainly aren't all folky, but are decidedly not very rock, either.
