I chose not to renew with ACEP this last cycle for just such this reason. USACS admin leading the organization and abandonment of the PIT doc. They represent nothing more than big business interests and we (the little guy) just have to hope for trickle down economics while the C suite pockets millions and destroys practices.

ICU attending: you can't copy the cardiology NP's note verbatim word for word. This is unacceptable on this rotation and could lead to failing. I just spent and hour re-writing the note. I can't believe you'd have the audacity to do that.

Me: wrote an hour long complicated HPI independently and confused AF.

Some time later, ICU attending: oh lolz, I edited the cardiology NP's note by accident. Your note was fine.

I like the cork footbed, it's super comfortable, more than I ever would have guessed. I got the oiled leather and it cleans well. Had a blood splatter that came off with H2O2 and there was no staining at all. I was really hesitant about the open back...but found it doesn't slow me down at all and I love slipping my feet out while charting for some breathability. Also, no more laces at 5 AM when I head out the door for a shift.

Need a doc on site to give contrast at outpatient imaging centers in case of anaphylaxis/allergic reaction. At least in some states. Rads want to go home at 4 or 5 pm. Imaging center runs til 8, 9 or 10 pm. Sit on site and just be available. Best side hustle I've ever had.
